A bit shabby!

Good morning and a very happy
So over at the Digi Choosday blog today the team were set the challenge of making something with a Shabby Chic theme. Well this to mean means distressed and inked edges with some lovely cotton lace, so here is my make.
I've used the new Winnie Special Moments kit to make this. I've used design sheet number 9 and one of the backing papers. There are loads and loads left over including a full size image to use on another make. I really don't know how Nikky manages to cram so much on theses sheets!
So I've sanded and inked the edges of the papers and topper and mounted everything onto 3D foam to make it pop. I've layered some of the flowers up to make a lovely big bloom for the corner, and sanded and inked the edges of the sentiment. I added the butterfly around the curve of the topper and the lace bow under the topper to finish it off.
So don't forget to go grab today's massive discount code and check out all the fabulous makes from the rest of the team.
I'm entering this into the following challenges:
Artistic Inspirations - ATG
Crafting From The Heart - ATG
CD Sunday - Shabby Chic
Come and Get It - ATG
Lil Patch of Craft Friends - ATG

Sunshine

Good morning everyone. Today over at the Polkadoodles blog we have an new challenge for you, and that challenge is to make something with a sunshine feel, and here is my make.

I've used the beautiful Winnie Sugar Sprinkles collection for my make, and I used design sheet 11 from the collection. You can buy the collections in smaller bundles, and the sheets and images separately here. I've added some interest by adding some squiggly lines around the edge of the card and backing paper. I've  mounted everything else onto 3D foam to make it pop.

Exciting times!

Good afternoon everyone. I have some exciting news to share with you today. I have only gone and been asked to be on the Oddball Art design team!!!! I love Lizzy's images so was thrilled to receive the email telling me I was an Oddball! Well ok, I've known I've been odd for years now. If you've not heard of Oddball Art you can find the blog HERE and the Etsy shop and all the loveliness HERE.
So I'm on the Facebook team where we have a new challenge every month, on the 1st of the month. And then on the 14th of each month we have a mid challenge inspiration post.
So here is my very first make for the team, I just hope it's good enough!

I've used the beautiful Big Eye Fairy Happy Holly image. I've coloured her with my Copic pens which I'm getting back into using. The papers I've used are some cheapy ones from the pound shop but I thought they went perfect with the pen colours I'd used. The flowers are from my stash.
So why not pop over to our Facebook page and join in our challenge, which you can find HERE. And don't forget I'll be back on the 14th with some mid challenge inspiration. Of course I'll be back with other stuff before then.

I'm going on a colouring course in September so hopefully will be getting better and better with them. Of course I'll still use my beloved Graph'It Markers, but will be swapping between the two.

Design sheet make

 Good morning and Happy
Today over at the Digi Choosday blog the team were once again challenged to use a design sheet for their makes, and here is mine.
I've used the Winston Bear collection, which is just fabulous for male makes as well as female makes.
You can buy the collection in bits HERE
My card blank is cream which works perfectly with this collection, as does Kraft card. I've mounted everything onto 3D foam to give it dimension. The image is 3 layers of decoupage.
Now don't forget to pop over to the blog to check out what the rest of the team has made and grab today's massive discount code.

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

2 papers

Good morning everyone. Today over at the Polkadoodles challenge blog we have some mid challenge inspiration for you. The challenge set last week was to use more than two papers and here is my make.

I've used papers and embellies form one of my fave collections, Picknix 1. I've used the Home Grown bundle for this, or you can buy the whole collection here, which of course is better value as you get 3 kits for less than the price of 2.

Summer colours

Good morning and Happy
Today over at the Digi Choosday blog the team were challenged to make something with summer colours on and here is my make.

Ok, so it's actually two makes. But what says summer more than strawberries and cream, and cherries and cocktails? My cards are both cream blanks and the back is mounted onto 3D foam to make it stand out.
I've used a design sheet from the ever so cute Winnie Fruit Punch collection. And there is so much on those sheets I got 2 cards out of just one of them!
And as I always say, don't forget to go grab today's discount code.

Summer

Good morning and Happy
Today over at the Digi Choosday blog the team were challenged to make something with a summer theme. Well what says summer more than sitting on a pier dangling your feet in a lovely warm ocean? Not much eh, and this is very similar to what I will be doing when you read this post! Eeeek I'll be in Mauritius celebrating my 50th, woo hoo
Anyhoo, you're not bothered about that are you. So of course I've used the fabulous Winnie Starfish and Sandcastles collection. You can also buy this on it's on as a design sheet here.

Now don't forget to pop over to the blog and grab today's discount code and check out my teamies makes.
Righto, I'm off back to my cockaails now, see you soon.

Die cuts

Good morning everyone. Over at the Polkadoodles blog today we have a new challenge for you. The team were challenged to use a die cut on our makes. And here is my make.

I used the Polkadoodles Bubbleicious die set for this make. I cut the two frames from watercolour card and then left the die in place and used a distress ink to add some colour around the edge of the die. I mounted the frames onto 3D foam and stuck them down. I then stamped out the Flamingo, flowers and foliage from the Tropical Paradise Flamingo stamp set, also onto watercolour card. Again I used the distress ink to colour them in. I then sprayed the flowers and leaves with water so the card became pliable. I then shaped the flowers and leaves, added some stamens to the flowers and glued in place on the card.

Flowers

Good morning and a very happy
Today over at the Digi Choosday blog we were challenge to use flowers on our makes, and here is my make.
I've gone for quite a CAS (Clean and Simple) make this week as I wanted to show off those beautiful flowers. They are from the Winnie Winterland download collection. Or if you wish you can just buy the foliage collection on it's own HERE, it does include the flowers as well. So who says a Christmas collection is just for Christmas? This proves it isn't don't you think.
So, I started with an A6 kraft card blank and mounted some cream card on 3D foam and stuck down. I then got out my Elegant Nest dies and cut two of them out in the same card stock, and mounted on 3D foam. I then fussy cut the flowers and leaves and shaped them with a ball tool. I layered all the different sized ones up and glued a pearl in the middle of each flower. I then added some pearls at the top of the card to finish it off. Don't you just love how those dies emboss as well as cut! It's such a small thing but gives a massive impact!
Now don't forget to go grab today's discount code and have a looksie at my teamies makes.
