Back to School

Good morning and Happy
Did you notice our posting time has changed? Well we realised that our Australian and New Zealand crafters weren't getting much time to use our fabulous discount code with the mahoosive time difference. So to try and make it fairer we now got live at midnight so everyone has more of a chance to use the code, as it only lasts for 24 hours. So don't forget to pop over to the Digi Choosday blog to grab your code for today after you've finished here.
Now onto this weeks challenge. For you it is of course Anything Goes, but should you wish to follow our challenge it is Back To School and here is my make, or makes.

This started out life as a plain Kraft chipboard. I used my go to collection for this make which of course is the fabulous Picknix 1 collection. You can also get this on CD should you wish HERE. Or in separate smaller collections HERE. So I started by covering the edges of the board with white Gesso before trimming the paper and gluing in place. I then brushed some Gesso over the edges of the paper and added some faux stitching after it had dried. I then used the little bubble stamp from the Celebrations Stamp set. I then cut out some letters, numbers and an apple and glued them on. I then added some of my own text over the blackboard embellie. Finally I added some tape measure ribbon along the bottom with loops to hold some pens, pencils etc. And a piece as a further something.
Here is the board without the pens in.
I then also decided to make a card to match this so then printed out another apple embellie but larger to use as a topper.

What's the F?

Good morning everyone. I'm here today with a new challenge from the Polkadoodles blog. Although the challenge for you is now always Anything Goes the team still follow a challenge, and that challenge for us was to use something with the letter F. Now I really pushed the boat out with this one as on my card I have a Falmingo, some Feathers, some Flowers and some Foliage! Do you think that's enough F's?

To make this card I have used the lush Tropical Paradise Flamingo stamp set. The flamingo you can get as a digi download on it's own HERE. I needed to add some Foliage in there so decided to use the leaf from the Lemonade Fizz stamp set.
I used watercolour card to stamp the feather on the background with Versamark ink and added some clear embossing powder. After setting it with a heat gun I used the Abandoned Coral Distress ink to colour over it. I love the added texure you get from the watercolour card. I then stamped the Flamingo in the same ink and let it dry. I then gently pulled some of the ink out with a water brush to colour the image in. I again used the distress ink around the edges. I did my squiggly line with a black fineliner and matted the layers onto black card and glued in place. I used the same ink to colour the stamped flowers and Pine Needles to colour the foliage. I added some stamens into the centre of the flowers and glued in place and there you have it.

Something New

Good morning and Happy
Yes, it's already time for a new challenge from us all at the Digi Choosday blog. The theme the team are following this week is to use something new. But of course for you it is Anything Goes. And here is my make.
I have used the Winnie Starfish and Sandcastles collection (again). This is made using design sheet number 7 which you can buy on it's own HERE. The "Something New" I have used is the postcard stamp which is from Wish You Were Here stamp set.
Here are a few close ups of the dimension.

Combos

Good morning everyone. This time I'm here to share my make for the latest challenge over at the Graph'It Markers colouring challenge blog. The challenge is now always anything goes so it's easier for everyone to join in. We have some fab prizes up for grabs every week so why not come and join us!
So this week we have been sponsored by the fab Polkadoodles. I've used the beach house stamp from the Tropical Oceans clear stamp set. I've been waiting so long for some beach themed crafting stuff so I can decorate my summer house in beach style and these had me squealing a little bit with delight lol. Anyhow, I chose to make a CAS card to show off the image more, and here it is.
The colours I have used are:
5115, 5120
3110, 3120
Sky 7101
Ground 1230
And I have used the Mix'It Palette to pick up the darker colours with the lighter marker, and the blender pen to pick up the sky and ground.

Paradise!

Good morning everyone. It's time for my new post for the Polkadoodles challenge blog. As you know all of our challenge are now anything goes, so here is my make.
I've used the Tropical Paradise Flamingo clear stamp set. I stamped onto my colouring card with a clear Versamark embossing ink, then added clear embossing powder over it and heat set it all. I then used 4 distress inks to create the background. You can use any you like but I used Seedless Preserves, Barn Door, Wild Honey and Mustard Seed. This really makes the clear embossing pop and adds great texture. I then stamped and created the message topper in the same way. I added my squiggly line around the edges and mounted the sentiment using 3D foam pads. Finally I stamped some flowers and foliage, coloured them with the darkest distress ink, added some pearls in the centre and glued in place.

Mono

Good morning and Happy
It's time for a new challenge for you from the Digi Choosday Challenge blog. The challenge for you now is always Anything Goes, but the team are still challenged to follow a theme and this weeks theme for us is to have a monochromatic scheme. So here is my make.
I have used the lush butterfly from the Little Kingdom collection. I used a honeycomb stencil and some distress inks to create the background and added a squiggly line with a black pen. I then used the same distress inks to colour the butterfly. I put the background on at an angle to draw the eye in more. I curled the wings of the butterfly and glued in place just on the body.
The distress inks I used were:
Abandoned Coral,
Festive Berries,
Pickled Raspberry.
And here is a close up of the butterfly.

Shaped card

Good morning everyone, and happy

Are you enjoying the fact that all of our challenge are now Anything Goes for you? Or do you still join in with our challenge theme? Whichever you choose we love to see all your makes. So this week if you choose to go with our challenge it is to make a shaped card, and here is my make.
I used a scalloped circle die from Tattered Lace to create my card shape and then the mats and layers. I have then used a design sheet from the amazing Winnie Starfish and Sandcastles collection. I told you I loved it and would be using it lots lol I fussy cut everything out and mounted them all onto 3D foam to make them stand out. And there you have it, as simple as that.
