Spots and Stripes

Good morning and
I think you know by now that all our challenges at the Digi Choosday blog for you are anything goes, but the DT are still set a challenge. Well this week the DT were challenge to use spots and stripes on our makes, and here is my make for this week.

And yes you've guessed it, for this make, once again, I have used the fabulous Baked With Love collection. I told you I loved it and that you would see lots of it lol. I have also incorporated another of my fave makes, a tag! I printed the papers onto Matt paper and the image and embellies onto glossy paper once again. I have tried to show you the glossy paper and think you can see it on the bottom photo. It really does make the colours pop, and it's only cheap photo paper from the pound shops.

Through the window

Good morning and
I think you know by now that all our challenges at the Digi Choosday blog for you are anything goes, but the DT are still set a challenge. Well this week the DT were challenge to use red and green and to have a window or door on our makes, and here is my make for this week.

For this make, once again, I have used the fabulous Baked With Love collection.
And to create the window I used the very versatile Door/Window die from Polkadoodles. I just love how this die has the hinges on one side so you can use it as an opening window. But if you don't want the hinge you can easily cut it away.

Not a card.

Good morning everyone, I'm here today with a new challenge from the Polkadoodles blog. The challenge for you as always is Anything Goes but for the team this time we were challenged to not make a card. So of course I made a tag to add to my Christmas gifts to people and here is it.

I have used the stunning Winnie Winterland collection to make this tag. I've done some paper patchwork and inked the edges with a distress ink before gluing them in place. I then used a black pen to add some faux stitching. I then cut out all my embellies and sentiments and again inked to edges of them all before sticking the in place with 3D foam pads.

Layer it up!

Good morning and
I think you know by now that all our challenges at the Digi Choosday blog for you are anything goes, but the DT are still set a challenge. Well this week the DT were challenge to add lots of layers and here is my make for this week.

For this make I have used the fabulous Baked With Love collection. I adore Gingerbread men and women in case you didn't know lol, so of course this collection makes me very happy indeedy. This is simply put together using a square card and square mats and layers. The top layer I have used the oval die out of the Bubbleicious Frame Die set from Polkadoodles. I have printed the papers onto matt paper and the images and embellies onto glossy paper. The ribbon is from Embellishent attic.

Polkadoodles

Good morning everyone. I'm here today with our new challenge for the Graph'It Markers colouring blog. The challenge is always anything goes and this week we are sponsored by one of my fave (but don't tell them) companies, Polkadoodles. And I chose to use the fantastic Santa image from the Picknix 3 Nordic Winter collection.
The colours I have used are:
Skin: 4120, 4125, 4135, 4150, 3120
Reds: 5210, 5220, 5240
Greys for shading: 9501, 9502

Paper weaving

Good morning everyone, I'm here today with some mid challenge inspiration from the Polkadoodles blog. The challenge for you as always is Anything Goes but for the team this time we were challenged to use red and green and to make something for Christmas and incorporate some paper weaving. Well, I've never done paper weaving before so this was new to me. Of course I'm on with making my Christmas tags so thought I'd try it on one of those so I didn't get overwhelmed. And here it is.
This first photo shows the paper weaving I did.
I have used the Festive Christmas Stamp Soup collection for this, both the CD and the stamp set.
I weaved the paper and then used a white ink pad and some white embossing powder to add the snowflakes and snowballs. I then added some faux stitching around the edges with a white gel pen.
I then stamped the small petal stamps onto watercolour paper 6 times. I then got out my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolour paints and painted 6 petals red and 6 in green. I put them all together to make a Poinsettia flower. I added some yellow stamens in and then glued onto my take. I then stamped the sentiment and went over that with a red wash to continue with the theme.
I think I may have trouble giving this one away on a gift! I may give it to hubby to use on my Christmas gift, that way I get to keep it lol
Here is a close up for you.

Now pop over to the blog to check out my teamies fab makes and get some more inspiration.

Enjoy!

Hello again. I want to share more makes with you that I did for Wednesdays Stamps By Me show on Create and Craft at 1pm. This time it's cards made with the lamination Enjoy stamp set. I stamped the base image on a pink ink on the first card and then stamped the detailed stamp in green. The papers I used are from the pound shop but I thought they worked perfectly with this stamp. I added a bow and a Polkadoodles Sprig die cut behind the bow.

On this card I stamped the background in a grey ink and the detailed stamp in blue. Again I added a bow and a die cut. I them added some gems to finish it off.

Hooray

Hello again. I want to share more makes with you that I did for yesterday's Stamps By Me show on Create and Craft at 1pm.
On these cards I used the Hooray lamination stamp set. I stamped the flower onto watercolour card using clear ink and embossing powder twice, and used my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolour paints to colour them in. I then cut the flower heads off of the second one, shaped them and decoupaged them over the flower on the base.
The papers on this card are from Stampin Up. I put all the layers onto 3D foam to make them pop, and added a few gems.

You can see the dimension on the layers on this photo.
