The winner of this challenge will win a heavenly bundle of goodies worth £50 from Polkadoodles!!! A massive prize!! And our 2nd and 3rd winners will also win a copy of the Angelberry CD too! Woohoo!

It's not my turn to do the challenge this week but I loved the theme so thought I'd join in. The theme is to use Fairy Wings. I have used papers and images from the Sugarplum Daisy CD-Rom.
This CD is packed full of cuteness!

I have coloured the image with Graph It markers which I buy from here as the price and delivery are the best I've found.

I've added some faux stitching to the papers and some glitter to the wings. I've made the roses from the same paper then added some lace, a feather and a die cut doily for some added interest. I'm really pleased with how this card has turned out, I think it's because it's in my fave colours!

Crackers aren't just for Christmas!

Hello all, I'm back with another Halloween post today to show you just how much you can do with the Witchie Witchie Download Bundle from Polka Doodles.

Can you tell what I have been making?
Here is the full picture.
Aren't these fun! I thought they would go down a treat with the kids that come trick or treating with sweets inside, much better for them than just grabbing a fist full of sweets from a tub!
I have used a die to cut these but there are loads of templates on the web for you to cut them out by hand or with a Cameo or something similar. I've used one of the sentiments over one of the papers to create some little tags on them and tied them on with the ribbon to close the cracker.

Polkadoodles Challenge week 34

The challenge over at Polkadoodles this week is "All things bright and beautiful"

I needed to make a card for a 40th this week and what better than to use this theme for a special occasion card. The image, papers, messages and embellishments are all from the fabulous Bonbon Belles Double CD. From my stash I've added some polka dot ribbon and a doily.
The message topper at the bottom is made using a frame, a sentiment, a ribbon and a flourish from the CD which I have layered on top of each other in word to create the perfect sentiment for the card.

Halloween card

I'm here with something a bit different for me today, a Halloween card. I know I don't "do" Halloween but with this fabulous Halloween download from Nikky Hall at Polka Doodles it is so easy.
And at just £3.49 for all this, it's a bargain as well!
I sat in the glorious sun in my garden today colouring these images in and came up with this card
I've used 4 of the images and merged 3 of them together (which is so easy to do as they are all png's) to create the background, and then used the goth witch separately so it stands out. everything is coloured with Graph It pens, the warm grey pack created the background with Mango and Mimosa for the windows. I've used Graph It Mix It Fluid over the image to give it some texture and then created stars with a blender pen and the moon. Looking at all the goodies in this download has made me want to have a Halloween party! lol

Studio 12 Key hook

Hello everyone, it's my turn to do a Studio 12 post today at Polka Doodles and here it is.
I have a huge pile of items waiting to be altered in some way or another so thought I would use one of them for todays post.

It started out life as a plain MDF key which I have made into a key hook.
The paper is from the Studio 12 CD-rom Picknix Collection 1. The flowers are made from the same paper. I have slightly distressed the edges and ink them with a distress ink, and have done the same with the flowers. I threaded a string of beads to add around the circular hole, and added some Doodles Dew Drops, and a die cut butterfly. The keys are from a broken handbag charm.
Here is a close up of one of the blingy keys from the handbag charm. I just couldn't part with these and knew they would come in useful on a crafty project.
And here is a close up of the flowers.

Christmas bunting

Hello all. I'm starting with a bit of happy news today. I lost one of my beautiful fur babies back in March and I, along with one of my other cats, have been really struggling with her loss, so yesterday I saw a post on FB from my vets looking for a home for 2 abandoned cats and one of them was the double of  my beautiful girl! So I spoke to hubby and asked if we could adopt her and he said yes! So we shot off to the vets and brought her home. Here she is:
isn't she beautiful! We have called her Bonnie. Things are a bit hairy at the moment as there's a lot of hissing going on so we are introducing them very slowly, a bit at a time. I do hope in a few days things will settle down and they will get on.

Now onto my craft project.

I've been playing with the new Angelberry Christmas CD and have made some Christmas bunting.
I've used some Spellbinders dies to create the baubles and to cut out the adorable images. I've layered them up and added some snowflake die cuts and some ribbons. I think this will  look great in my new party room at Christmas. Why not have a go, it's really easy to put together and no-one else will have the same as you!

Pirate door hanger

You all know how I am infatuated with a certain pirate,
mmmmmm, *swoon*.
Well, there is a new pirate in town and I am loving him too! He is also called Jack and can be found on the fabulous Bonbon Belles CD at Polka Doodles.
I printed some images and papers out the other day and had a blank MDF door hanger,
and today I had some time to craft and this is what it turned into.
The images are coloured with Graph It markers. I slightly distressed and inked the edges of the papers and added some faux stitching. I then remembered I had some seaside themed charms so dug them out and added them onto the hanger to give some dimension. What do you think? I'm really pleased with how it turned out!

And incase you didn't know just how obsessed I am with Captain Jack Sparrow here is a photo of the tattoo I have of him on my leg.

Polka Doodles challenge week 32

It's time for another challenge over at Polka Doodles, and this week the DT have been set the challenge of using one of the fabulous Digi Download kits. For my card I have used the Tail Feather download bundle.
This download has 42 individual elements in it making it a fabulous bargain at only £4.99! Please note that these kits are immediate despatch downloads, so no waiting around constantly checking your inbox waiting for it to arrive!
Anyway here is my card:
For my card I used the My Craft Studio program to create the card, so everything is flat, although it doesn't look it because of the shadows that are on the elements in the download kit! All the elements are 300 DPI which means you can make them as large as you like and you won't lose any definition. Digi kits (and CD's) are great for creating cards for those who are conscious of postage charges, but you still have the freedom to be as creative as you like. I would love to see this Peacock strutting around my garden!

Lacy Sunshine challenge #14

It's time for another challenge over at Lacy Sunshine and here is my DT card. We are back to using themes again and this week the theme is : "Favourite Things- use your favourite things and state what they are."
I have chosen my favourite image for this project, and also another favourite for me are hats! I have oodles of them!
The cute image is called Lizabeth as Theadora and you can find here in the Lacy Sunshine shop here.
The image is coloured with Graph It markers which you can buy here.
The papers are another mag freebie. (I have a massive pile of these to get through)! The butterflies are from a Stampin Up die and the flower is made using a Marianne D die.
