Celebrate

Good morning. I'm here with a make for the Polkadoodles Craft blog again.

To make this card I used a sheet of paper from the Funky Fantasy paper pack. I went around the edge with a black marker pen to add a faux layer, and then added more interest with a double squiggly line with a fine liner pen, and glued it to a square card blank. I then used the largest die from the Polkadoodles Butterfly Trio die set. Firstly I cut it from a piece of card that I had left over from a distress ink background I made. I then cut it our from black card keeping the waste in and securing with tape. I glued the centre of the white die cut over the black one and glued onto the card. Finally I cut out the Celebrate sentiment die twice, once from an inked piece of card and one from black card. I then offset the coloured one over the black one and glued onto the card.

A little bit of Fantasy

Good morning everyone.
I'm back in the land of blogging with another make for the Polkadoodles blog.

There's lots of photos in this post so you may want to get comfy with a coffee.

I've made a card with a hidden message using the Funky Fantasy paper pad and the Happy Birthday die.

The first step is to choose a sheet of paper you like, I chose the blue one and wanted to darken the edges so cut the paper to size and used a distress ink to darken the edges.
Next I chose the sentiment die I wanted to use and cut it out of the paper.
Make sure you keep all the pieces you cut out, including the bits you would normally throw away.
Then glue the paper to the card taking care to stick down around the sentiment.
Place the sentiment, without glueing, back onto the paper and then glue in all the extra pieces from the centres of the letters.

Then cut the sentiment out from card stock several times and glue them all together on top of each other. You will end up with a sentiment that looks a but like a chipboard sentiment.

Finally glue the sentiment onto the card. If you look at the card front on the sentiment isn't that easy to see, it's only when you tilt the card you get the full effect.
