Somewhere Over the Rainbow

Good morning blogland, it's nearly the weekend! And lets hope it's a lovely summery one.
It's time for a new challenge at Polkadoodles and this time it is Somewhere Over the Rainbow.
I've decided to make a rainbow of flowers for my project using the colours of the rainbow for each flower. The stamp set I have used is The purpose of Art. I have stamped onto Centura Pearl cardstock and used a green and a blue Pan Pastel to create sky and ground. Finally I have drawn a rough line around the edge to add extra interest.

Moments to be remembered.

Hello everyone, are you all aware that the Studio 12 side of Polka Doodles has moved back to it's original home? We gatecrashed on the main blog for a while but have decided it was time for us to go back home, so now you can find us back here.
I think most of you are aware we had an awful lot of building work done last year so thought I would create a little mini book to show the major changes we had done (I will scrap the whole build when I get some time). And today I want to share the cover of the book with you.

For the main focal part I have used the The purpose of Art A6 - Susan K Weckesser at Studio 12

The papers I have used are from the Studio 12 CD-rom Picknix Collection 1, which I have used a distress ink on and added some black lines around the edges to give more interest. I have then stamped some flowers from the Vintage Scruffy Flowers A5 stamp set and again distressed them and added a bit of colour also using distress ink.

Polka Doodles Challenge week 7

Good morning everyone, and Happy Valentine day. It's time for a new challenge at Polka Doodles, and the challenge for the DT this week is "Love". Here is my card.
The papers, embellishments, sentiment tickets and scroll are all from the new Dollie Daydream Goes East CD Collection. I cut out some paper in the shape of a heart, and made rolled roses to put around the heart. I've used distress ink around the edges of everything. I then added some faux stitching around the background paper using the Studio 12 Distressed Zig & Zag A5 stamp set

Studio 12 at Polka Doodles

'Tis I again, 2 posts in 2 days, how good am I lol!
I'm here today with a Studio 12 make. This box started out life as a plain paper mache box. I gave it a coat of plain old emulsion then used some distress ink around the edges and corners. I used a mask on the lid to create a bit of a pattern. Then got busy with some Studio 12 stamps. I used the Distressed Zig and Zag stamp set, and the Vintage Ephemera stamp set.

I added some acetate to the lid and used one of the stamps on that as well. This is so easy to do, why not get an old box and get creating. They make lovely little pressies.

Studio 12 altered clip board

Hello everyone, I'm back with another Studio 12 make today.

I'm just loving this new range of stamps which you can find here, and this is my latest make with them.

I've had this clip board for years and it was just shoved in the back of a cupboard, unused and unloved. Now it is on my desk and in use! I painted a base coat of Maimeri White Gesso , then added some distress ink around the edges. I then got to work with the stamps, some I have stamped straight onto the board, others I stamped onto card, cut them out and stuck them on. I have used the Art Girl, Chimney House, Distressed Zig & Zag and the Shabby Owl Blossom  stamp sets. They are all coloured with the same distress ink pad I used to distress the edges of the board. I used some gilding flakes on the flower heads, added some lace, some bakers twine, some florists mesh and a ribbon to finish it off.

Studio 12 wall hanger

Good morning Blog land, I'm here with another post for the Studio 12 side of Polka Doodles.
I'm just loving all of the Studio 12 stamps that you can find here, they are so versatile and can be used for lots of different things. Here is my project.
I've used stamps from the Leave a Little Sparkle , Chimney House , Shabby Owl Blossom  and Vintage Ephemera  sets. I've used a distress ink pad to colour the edges of the panels and also the same ink pad to colour all the images. On the middle panel I have double stamped the bird to give it a look of  movement.
