Shaped card

Good morning everyone, and happy

Are you enjoying the fact that all of our challenge are now Anything Goes for you? Or do you still join in with our challenge theme? Whichever you choose we love to see all your makes. So this week if you choose to go with our challenge it is to make a shaped card, and here is my make.
I used a scalloped circle die from Tattered Lace to create my card shape and then the mats and layers. I have then used a design sheet from the amazing Winnie Starfish and Sandcastles collection. I told you I loved it and would be using it lots lol I fussy cut everything out and mounted them all onto 3D foam to make them stand out. And there you have it, as simple as that.

Busy little Bee!

I'm here with my third make for the launch party over on Facebook, for the next in the adorable Winnie's collection. It is called Fruit Punch and you can find the full download collection HERE, the CD HERE and the elements as separate products HERE. It is just adorable, have a peek!
Well I say third but I suppose it's third and fourth as it is a card with a matching box!
I've used the hexagon essentials dies and the hexagon box dies from Tattered Lace to make these as they fit perfectly with the adorable bumble bee and his hive. I've used pre-coloured images on this one and added some glaze to the jars to make them look like real glass. I fussy cut all the images and sentiments as I wanted them all shaped. Just look at that little honeycomb embellie, isn't it adorable! I've printed everything here into cream card to make it more natural as I thought white was too harsh for these images.
Here are a few close ups.
And here is the box. I've put some of the backing paper inside as well so you can see it through the acetate front. The box could then be used to store something other than the card then.

And here they are as a set.
Ok that's it from me for this launch so far, but don't worry I'll be back with more of these makes before you know it! And of course you can go check out my teamies makes as well for more inspiration.

Mini Shutter 4

Good morning again. As promised I'm here to share my last Tattered Lace design team make with you using the fab new Mini Shutter Die.

To make this one I cut out the card blank from Kraft card and the first layer of mats from some Gorjuss paper using the fabulous dies. I used some diestress ink around the edges of the card and paper. I added one of the embellies from the die set to the centre panel. I then added some Gorjuss decoupage and message panel and heart. Finally I made a bow using the Bow Maker and some Gorjuss ribbon.

Mini Shutter 3

Good morning again. As promised I'm here to share another Tattered Lace design team make with you using the fab new Mini Shutter Die.

To make this one I cut out the card blank and the first layer of mats using the fabulous dies. Before I glued them down I cut out the Thank You sentiment using a TL die that was on one of the magazines. I then cut out some of the little embellishments that come with the die set. Finally I added some decoupage from a My Paper Stash kit.
Come back tomorrow to see another card using these dies.

Mini Shutter again

Good morning again. As promised I'm here to share another Tattered Lace design team make with you using the fab new Mini Shutter Die.
To make this one I cut out the card blank and the first layer of mats using the fabulous dies. Then I stamped on a sheet of linen card using some Dreamees stamps, and then coloured then in using my Prisma pencils. I then used the second set of layering dies from the set and cut out from the sheet of stamped and coloured images. Finally I stamped some more flowers and cut and shaped them before mounting them on the card.
Come back tomorrow to see another card using these dies.

Tattered Lace mini shutter

Good morning all from a foggy and very frosty Leeds, brrrrrr! I thought it was about time I started blogging my Tattered Lace design team makes rather than just sharing them on Facebook. The fabulous new mini shutter dies were launched as part of the Pick Of The Day on Ideal World and Create And Craft last night. This is one my makes.
These concept dies really are worth their weight in gold, not only because they take all the faff out of the card, but the matting and layering is a breeze! Have you ever made one of these and then tried to add layers? I have and it was a total nightmare. This is soooo easy it's untrue. I have decorated this card with the What's Up Buttercup stamps from Polkadoodles. I have added a bit of colour with my Prisma pencils and added some distress ink around the edges.
Come back tomorrow and I'll share my next one.

Autumnal colours.

Good morning. I hope all those that went to, or had fireworks parties last night enjoyed them and stayed safe. They're not my thing, I never liked them as a child and still don't so I usually stay home and keep warm and comfy. This year however I am in the sunshine in Egypt so don't need to wrap up to stay warm! As you are ready this I'm probably on my sun lounger colouring in or reading a good book!
So the reason I'm here is to share my make for the new challenge at Polkadoodles. The challenge we have for this next two weeks is to use the colours of Autumn and here is my make:
I have used one of the designs from the fabulous Colour Therapy Florabunda CD, you can also get this as a download HERE if you can't wait for a CD to arrive! This is one of the 6x6 designs and I have made a card blank to fit it using a Tattered Lace Essentials die. The sentiment stamp and the butterflies are from a Tatty Twinkle stamp set. And the die cuts are TL.
In the stripes around the image I've used a Sakura Tiara gold pen to add a bit of glitter, and some gems on the base.

All that glitters!

Good morning from a very cold and dreary Yorkshire, I hope the weather is better where you are! I know I don't like this cold wet weather but there is an upside, it makes me want to craft more. So the fire is on, I have printed pages from the fabulous Colour Therapy Inspiring Foliage, and I have my pens and pencils so all is good!

Anyhoo today I am here with my make for some mid challenge inspiration for the Polkadoodles blog. The challenge which started last week is " Add sparkle, bling or glitter" and here is my make:

I have used the Serenity Fairy Wishes collection to make this card. You can buy the image Serenity Resting on her own HERE if you would just like that. The fabulous Toadstool border has been cut using my cameo and the cutting file can be found HERE, isn't it just perfect for this image!!!!! For the challenge I have added superfine glitter to her wings which you can see better in the close up image.
The sentiment is from a Tatty Twinkles stamp set and the die is from Tattered Lace.
Now pop over to the blog to see me teamies makes, you are going to love them!

Tag it!

Good morning and Happy Choosday everyone.
We have a new challenge for you over at the Digi Choosday blog today and that challenge it to use a tag. You can make a tag, or you can make a tag shaped card, or you can make a card with a tag on it, anything at all as long as a tag features somewhere on your make. Here is my make for this week.
I have made the tag out of some Kraft card and then the papers, embellies and sentiments are all from the fabulous Picknix 2 Gingerbread Twist collection. I have used the Tea Dye distress ink to darken the edges of everything and added some faux stitching onto the papers. The 2 Picknix collections are available as smaller downloads and some even as physical paper stacks, which are so strokeable! You can find them all HERE. The die cut Poinsettia is a Tattered Lace Trio die from the latest Tattered Lace magazine.

Now don't forget to pop over to the team blog for more inspiration, todays discount code, and some news! We are looking for some guest designers to join us for a few weeks. All you have to do is enter this weeks challenge and add GDT to your name in the link up. It's a fabulous team to be a part of, so if you love Nikky's work then give it a go!
