One for the boys!

Good morning everyone, hope you are all well. I'm here today with a new challenge for the Polkadoodles challenge blog. Here in the UK fathers day is coming up soon so we are focusing on male makes for that. We know you don't all have Dads anymore, like me, so we are making the theme more general than Fathers day, we just want to see a make "For the Boys". And here is my make for this week.
I've used one of my all time fave male collections, which is Pretty Tuff. I've coloured the image with my Kuretake Zig Art and Graphic Twin pens. Whenever I have a male make to do this is my go to CD, even if I don't use an image for it the papers are just perfect for males of all ages! Now talking of papers did you know some of our collections have actual physical paper pads? No, well we do and Pretty Tuff is one of those. So if you don't want to print papers you can buy the paper pad HERE. This paper pad even includes 3 sheets of toppers and 3 sheets of sentiments as well as 30 sheets of fabulous quality papers! So all you paper strokers get yourself a pad before they all sell out!
Check out all our other paper pads HERE as well.

Good morning and Happy Choosday everyone. Before I get onto my make for this week I want to share some new releases from Polkadoodles! Nikky has only gone and drawn us some Fairytale characters, eeeeeekkk how exciting! And just look how lush they are. And if you are quick you can still get 20% off using the code. You can find them HERE along with some new ribbons which would be PERFECT to use with these images.

Now onto this weeks challenge for Digi Choosday. The challenge we have set you this week is to use some buttons on your project, who doesn't love buttons??? Here is my make
I have used the Oddella Twig image from the Ickyink Collection, and have coloured her with my Graph'It Markers. The papers are from the Pretty Tuff CD which work perfectly with these images!

Now don't forget to visit the team blog for more inspiration and this weeks discount code to use on our digis.

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Something Masculine

Good morning everyone, hope you are all having a fantastic weekend. Last time over at the We Do Doobadoo Blog we had the challenge of Something Feminine, so of course this time we had to do Something Masculine! Here is my make:
The image is a cute little guy from the fab Pretty Tuff CD and is coloured with my Graph'It Markers.
The papers are from a Work & Play CD. I have used the Chicken Wire mask to emboss some card stock which I have distressed along with the papers. I have also used the mask with some cloud clay to make the tag. I have then used some honeycomb softboard and a cardboard art crown. Finally I have added a black pen line around the edge of everything.

Here is my entry.
The image, papers and sentiments are all from the Pretty Tuff CD Rom.  I've added faux stitching around the paper and sentiments and added some die cut banners from Tattered Lace.
The colours of the Graph'Its I have used are:
Skin: 4115, 4155, 4170, 4715
Denim: 7109, 7110, 7115

Doesn't it look different! I have to say I am very impressed with the Mix It Palette, I thought it was something I didn't need, how wrong was I!

Cards for the twins

Here are a couple of cards I have made for my neighbours grandsons who are soon to be one!
The images are from Mo Manning and the papers are from the Pretty Tuff CD from Polka Doodles.

The images are coloured with Graph It Markers which I get from Polka Doodles. I've used a few embossing folder with Core 'dinations cardstock and sanded off. For the top card I made the rosette and also made the string embellishment. I always try to add a little something on male cards as you can't really use flowers or girly bows. I've added some faux stitching to both cards, and used Tim Holtz distress inks around the images.
