Moody Evening

Good morning once again! This is getting into a bit of a habit, me posting on days I don't normally do. It's all these lush new products I'm getting to play with, so you can't blame me. Today you can blame Mrs Doodles again, as I'm back with another make using her fab new dies. This time I've used the Elegant Lamplight and Gate Die set.

 I've created a background using 3 pinkish distress inks and splashed some water over it. I then used some stamps from the Little Kingdom set to create the house. I then cut the gate and lamp out of some more I had covered with distress inks. I decided to make the dies pop a bit more I would cut them out in black and mat behind the other cuts to create a shadow. And there you have it, a moody evening scene that was very quick to create.

It's time for a new challenge for you from the Digi Choosday Challenge blog. The challenge for you now is always Anything Goes, but the team are still challenged to follow a theme and this weeks theme for us is to have a monochromatic scheme. So here is my make.

I have used the lush butterfly from the Little Kingdom collection. I used a honeycomb stencil and some distress inks to create the background and added a squiggly line with a black pen. I then used the same distress inks to colour the butterfly. I put the background on at an angle to draw the eye in more. I curled the wings of the butterfly and glued in place just on the body.

The distress inks I used were:

Abandoned Coral,

Festive Berries,

Pickled Raspberry.
