Pink, Pink, Pink

It's time for a new challenge over at the Premium Craft Brands blog, can you tell what it is? Yes, you've guessed it, it is to make something pink. Now that's now hard for most girls is it! So here is what I have come up with.

It started out life as a Kraft board bird house. To start with I gave it a base coat of white Gesso. I then mixed the Magenta Pan Pastel with the Gesso and gave it another coat. I then used the same Pan Pastel through the Spirograph mask to create the pattern. I then painted over it with a coat of Glassy Gesso and painted and added a wooden butterfly.

Organised for Christmas

Good morning everyone. It's time for a new challenge over at the Polkadoodles blog, and this week the challenge is "Get organised for Christmas" with the added challenge for the DT to make a shaped card.
So here is my make.

I have used the Dutch Doobadoo Shape art 4 to create the card shape and the matting and layering. The image, papers, sentiment and parcels are all from the Angelberry Christmas CD. The bells and spruce die cuts are from Tattered Lace. I have used the Dusty Concord distress ink around the edges of everything.

Transparency

Good morning everyone. I'm here today with my make for the Graph'It Colouring Crazy Challenge Blog.
The challenge for the DT is colouring things that are transparent.
I admit when I saw what this challenge was I went into panic mode as it's not something I think I can do!
I have used the old Pond Neighbours Clear Stamp from Nikky Hall at Polkadoodles, it may be old but I still love it. Watching Nikky colour this range of stamps was what go me hooked on colouring!
So the colours I used are:
The pond: 7210, 7220, 7240, blender and the silver glitter shake pen
I started at the edges with the darkest colour and worked into the centre with the lightest. I them went over the middle with the blender pen to take some colour out and add swirls. I then added the glitter over the top to make it shimmer.
The bridge and fence: 3110, 3210
House: 5110, 5120, 1210, 1230
Grass: 8110
Sky: 7105

Blooms

Good morning and happy Choosday to you all. I know I have been missing for a week or so, I am recovering from having my gall bladder removed just over a week ago so haven't been making anything until this pas few days. Hopefully all is good now and I am back into the swing of things!
I'm here today with this weeks DT make for Digi Choosday, and the challenge we have set this week is Blooms. Here is my make
The image is a old one from the Pretty Sweet CD remastered and brought up to date by Nikky Hall. You can now buy Amelia with Basket as a digi download here. The papers are from the CD. The image is coloured with my Graph'It Markers . The roses are made from the same papers. The dies I have used are from Sizzix. I have used a distress ink around the edges of the papers and added a black ink line.

I am entering this into the following challenge:

Texture

Good morning everyone, I hope you are all having a good weekend.
I'm here today, a day late, with a make for We Do Doobadoo UK. The challenge this time is to use textures. Here is my make
I have added texture to my make by using the Hearts Laser Art, the Pink Gingham material, the Dark Denim Material, the Kraft Hearts (covered with Glassy Gesso to add more texture), and some embossed Co-ordinations card.
I have used the Piper With Bunches image from Polkadoodles which is coloured with Graph'It Markers.

Stitching

Happy Choosday everyone. We have a new challenge for you at Digi Choosday today and it is, stitching, whether it be real or faux. I'm sure you all know I'm a fan of faux stitching as I often do it on my projects, so this time I thought I would add some real stitching as well.

I have used the Owl Always Love you download for all the elements on the card other than the sentiment. I have used a distressing tool around the edges of the card, paper and topper. I then got my mini sewing machine out to add the real stitching around the edges of the paper. As you can see it didn't want to play and sew so I ended up having to wind the machine by hand which has given a wonky line of stitching, but this kinda adds to the distressed look of the card. I then added the faux stitching around the topper with a white pen.

Bold and Bright

Good morning blog land, I hope everyone stays safe and dry during the remnants of hurricane Bertha today!
I'm her to share my latest DT make for the Premium Crafts Brands Challenge Blog. The challenge for this next two weeks is Bold and Bright.
I have made this canvas by firstly covering it all in white Gesso to give it a base. I then covered it with a light covering of the orange Pan Pastel. I then made my own circle mask my punching different sized circles into a piece of acetate. I then used Pan Pastels as a paint (mixed with a little water) and painted through the stencil. I then went around the edges of all the circles with a black Sharpie pen and added some white highlights with the white Gesso.

The Pan Pastels I used are:

Shabby Chic

Good morning everyone. It's Digi Choosday today, and this week our challenge is "Shabby Chic" I love this challenge as it means I can get sanding and distressing which you all know I love to do, but this time I've kept it pretty as well. (Well, I think I have lol)
The image is from Emma Canning and is called 3 scoops. I love this image as I love ice cream! I can't seem to get enough of it lately lol
She is coloured with my Graph'It Markers. The papers are from the Rose Papers Download Bundle. I have used a distressing tool to rough the edges of everything and then used the Tea Dye Distress Ink around the edges. The rolled roses are from the same papers then ink and glittered.
The frame is from Sizzix and the ice cream sundae from Tattered Lace.

Clash Of Colours, Airbrushing and Decadence

Good morning blogland. I'm here today with 3 makes but decided to do them all in one post rather than 3 separate ones.
So first up is my DT make for Polkadoodles, and this week it is a mid challenge reminder for the Clash Of Colours challenge. I am also using this card for my Premium Craft Brands challenge card. The challenge for this is Summer Fun
The image is from the fabulous Work & Play collection 4 and is coloured with my Graph'It Markers. The papers are from the Dollie Daydream Goes East CD and the Sugarplum Daisy CD. The beach hut and postcard are both Tattered Lace Dies. The sentiment, swirls and hearts are all from the Premium Craft Brands Postcard Stamp Set. I have distressed the edges of the papers, die cuts, sentiment, swirls and image with the Violet Pan Pastel. Finally I added some faux stitching around the edges.

Next up is my DT make for the Graph'It Markers Challenge Blog. This is a mid challenge inspiration post also, for the Airbrushing challenge.

The DT were challenged to do some airbrushing with a drinking straw.  Well this didn't work at all so one of my teamies came up with the idea of using the barrel of a biro pen. This did the trick so thank you Claire C! First of all I coloured the image up, which is from the new Work & Play Collection 6, as are the papers. Then I printed the image out again and fussy cut and created a mask to cover the image. Then I got to work with the biro case and created a muddy ground and a blue sky. I'm quite please with how the ground turned out as it looks like the horse is kicking up some mud!
The Graph'It Markers I used are:
Skin: 4125, 4150, 4145, 4135, 3210
Horse and Rider: 9400-9407
Sky: 7125
Mud: 3255

Next up is my DT make for the Tattered Lace Monthly Challenge Blog.
The image is from the Fredericka Mini CD and is coloured with Graph'It Markers. The papers are from Lily Of The Valley. The Tattered Lace Dies I have used are the Foral Panel from issue 8 of the magazine, the Demure Corner, the Wonderous Wings, the Summer Crafting swirl and the Sentiments 2014 and Family Sentiments.

Well, thank you for sticking with me throughout this long post! I do hope you will come and join in our challenges for the chance to win some fab prizes!
