Oh Alice chapter 19 challenge

The challenge over at Oh Alice! this week is to use something Twinkling, Glittery, or Sparkly on your card or creation.

This is the card I have done

The blue backing card is Coredinations Gemstone card. And the pink and blue papers are Papermanias Henbury lane glittered papers. The photo doesn't really capture the glitter :(

The jewels are Papermania jewels, and the words are from the Alice in Wonderland book.

The image is Sassy Alice from Victoria Case designs and is coloured with ProMarkers.

Card for 2 challenges

This card is for 2 challenges this week.
The first challenge is at Oh Alice! The challenge this week is:
"what's YOUR MUCHNESS? We want to know the HEART of your stamping style. Whether it's your favorite embellishment, "signature style", fave technique...we WANT TO SEE the MUCHNESS!"

I've used a digital stamp on the card which is one of my fave things to use as you can re-size them to suit the card you are making.

The second challenge is Dotties World this week it is set by Gunn and here is what she says:
"On this one I kind of want to challenge myself and you guys has to come along on this one. I am not that clever to use the colour green on my card, I mean as the main colour. So on this one I want you to have green as the main colour on your card. And the rest is up to you, but you have to use a Charmed download for this one, that is in fact the most important thing. I also would like you to include a metal charm."

Well green is my worst colour too, I hate it and hardly ever use it.

Anyway, here is the card:

The image is from the Mikey collection which is available at Charmed cards and crafts and is of course coloured with ProMarkers. The papers are My Minds Eye.

Oh Alice chapter 15 challenge

The challenge over at Oh Alice! this week is to use swirls on our projects.

So here is my card
I just love this image! I've coloured him with ProMarkers. I've used orange core-dinations card which I have distressed with a file and then used Tim Holtz Wild Honey and Brushed Corduroy distress inks. The backing paper is from Costco and I've highlighted the swirls on that with orange glitter glue. Then I have used coffee coloured Core-dinations and embossed it on my bug with the swirls folder, and then sanded it. The messages are computer generated and the clock image was found on Google.
And don't forget Alice in Wonderland is out on DVD on Friday! I have pre-oredered my copy and can't wait for it to arrive!

Card for 3 challenges

Hello all, it's been a while hasn't it. I've been rather busy sunning myself in Egypt. It's very hard work but someone has to do it! ;-)

Well it's back to the good old English weather, which for once is gloriously sunny, so I've dragged myself out of the garden and into my craft room to do some challenges. I found that one card would cover all my usual 3 challenges this week, so more time for basking in the sun!

The 1st challenge is at Passion for ProMarkers this week is set by Tracy and the theme she has set is:‘fantasy/mythology’

The 2nd challenge is at Oh Alice! Chapter 14 and it is to follow a sketch.
This is the sketch

The 3rd challenge is at Dotties World this week it is set by Adele and she wants us to have a thank you greeting on the card.

So here is my entry for these challenges

The image is from the Pixie Chicks collection available at Charmed cards and crafts and is of course coloured with ProMarkers. The papers are from Papermania's Henbury Lane pad.

Card for 3 challenges

I didn't do any challenges last week with me supposedly going on holiday, but as you all know the skies were empty so here I am stuck until this Friday. And for this reason I have been able to do a card. I have done the card for 3 challenges, the first one being at Oh Alice! The challenge this week is to follow the sketch below
The second challenge is Dotties World this week it is set by Louise and here is what she says: "This week I'd like you to fill your pockets! :) In other words include a pocket in your creation, I don't mind what you put in it as long as the pocket is there....if you are sending it to me £10 notes work well :D.
Don't forget Dottie's World challenges MUST include a Charmed download!"

And the 3rd and final challenge is Passion for ProMarkers this week is set by Maria and the theme she has set is:

“in the garden”

i.e. things you may see in the garden - flowers, vegetables or even a garden shed, it’s entirely up to you, as long as you colour your image with promarkers you will be in with a chance of winning our prize.
Their sponsor this week is Joanna Sheen and one lucky winner will receive a £10.00 voucher to spend in her online store.

And here is my creation

The image is from the Pixie Chicks collection which is available at Charmed cards and crafts and is of course coloured with ProMarkers. The papers are My Minds Eye.

The second challenge is at Oh Alice! and the theme there is monochromatic and distressed.

This is the card I have done:

card for 2 challenges

This card is for 2 challenges this week, the first one being for Oh Alice!
The challenge this week is to create a card using some form of TEXT/Printed DP, Old Book pages, Newspaper print, Old dictionary, etc. We just need to see SOME form of printed text on your card or project!

And the second challenge is Passion for ProMarkers and has been set by Gina and here is what she says:
She would like you to ‘use 2 images on your project’ – you could stamp two separate images, or use a focal image and background stamp or even merge two digi images – it’s entirely up to you. You can use any colour promarkers to colour your images but your must follow the theme to be eligible for the prize draw.
This challenge is being sponsored by Letraset and the lucky winner will receive a 5 pack of promarkers.

So here is the card I've entered:
It's like 2 cards in one! You could have the White Rabbit showing or you could fold it the other way and have Alice showing. I'm giving it to my Aunt who's birthday it is on Monday. Hope she likes it!
The text on the Rabbit part is from the Alice in Wonderland book, which has been released in conjunction with the film, starring the most wonderful, gorgeous, sexy Mr Johnny Depp (which I have now seen twice and can feel another cinema trip coming on)! And of course you all know how obsessed I am with JD. If not have a look at the bottom of my blog for some eye candy!! lol
Anyway I digress (why does JD always do that to me?), back to the card. I coloured the rabbit with 3 different greys starting by colouring it all in in the lightest grey, then using one shade darker have gone over it again but not going to the middle of the image. And finally with a shade darker again and I have gone around the inside edge of the image. And for the hearts I used 2 shades of red, Lipstick and Red.
On the inside of the card Alice is coloured with Cyan and Aegean for shading. And I've used a Martha Stewart border punch and layered it up. All the card is DCWV and the messages are computer generated.

Oh Alice chapter 5 challenge

The challenge at Oh Alice! this week is to use a caterpillar or butterfly on your project.
I was looking for something different to do for Daisy's birthday this year and love those little drawers and easel cards so thought I`d put both together and see what I could come up with and this is the result.
The image is "Daisy" from Sugar Nellie and is coloured with ProMarkers. The papers are Papermania. The butterfly on the card is an Anita's dimensional sticker and the other butterflies are a stamp from Joanna Sheen. I've used a Martha Stewart punch on the card and all the distressing is done with a Tim Holtz Brushed Corduroy ink pad

The challenge over at Oh Alice! this week is to follow a sketch.
Here's the sketch:

And here is my take on it

The image is coloured with ProMarkers, the papers are from a digi set that was on my lappy. (I really must start to file properly them so I know where there from)!

The flowers are from my stash and the frame is cut using a Sizzix Jelly Frame die.
