Say hello to Helga!

Good morning blogland. I have something very exciting to share with you today. The boss lady at Polkadoodles, Nikky Hall, has been slaving away to bring us another new release and today is the day we get to share it with you. We are all so excited about this and we hope you are too.
So this is a little bit different and we hope will fill a gap that isn't out there yet.
So please say hello and welcome Helga to the Polkadoodles family.

Eeeeekkk how cute is she!!!!

You can find all things Helga HERE
And If you're quick you can use the code HELGA to get 15% off for a limited time, how fabulous is that!
For this card I have used an 8x8 Kraft card blank. The mats are done with a cream card and more Kraft card. I chose this as I think it goes so well with the stunning pink backing papers from the collection. All the embellies are from the collection as well, and I have coloured Helga on this one with my Copic pens.
If you want to see more the team will be sharing their makes over on Facebook over the next 4 days, so come and join us in our Polkadoodles and Digi Choosday pages. They will also be shared on our colouring page if they have a coloured image on them. So see you over there, and I'll be back tomorrow with my next make.

Winter wishes

Good morning and happy
All of our challenges at the Digi Choosday blog for you are anything goes but the team were challenged to make something with a Winter Wishes theme.

For this card I've used the fabulous Octavia Frosted Winter collection.
I've kept this card simple by using one of the scenes for the background, and cutting a tree, 2 snowmen and 3 faux brads. I've mounted them all onto 3D foam to make them pop. And the sentiment is from Tattered Lace and is cut in silver glitter card.

Colour Crazy

Good morning everyone. I am here today with a new post for a new(ish) blog. At the end of last year a group of us that love colouring thought we should bring a few groups together so we were all in one place, which not only makes it easier for us, it makes it a lot easier for you too. Now we have quite a decent sized team we will take it in turns to post and we have split into 4 teams, so each of us will be sharing a make once every four weeks. And I am in the first team to share, woo hoo. So we are called the Colour Crazy Craft challenge and you can find our blog HERE. We will all be using different mediums so you can pick up lots of tips. And we will be sponsored by some amazing companies. So to kick us off we are being sponsored by the very talented Nikky Hall and Polkadoodles.
So here is my make.

For this I have used the Bella Fleur large stamp set. I have done lots and lots of masking to create this little scene. And I have to credit my lovely friend Claire Boelema for giving me the inspiration for this. I am always in awe of her work and would love just a smidging of her talent.
I have used my very much loved Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolour paints to colour the scene in.

Something New

Good morning everyone. Today I'm here with my first challenge of the year from the Polkadoodles blog. The challenge for you is Anything goes but the team were challenge to use something new on our makes for this challenge.

So I used some of the fab new products that I have from Polkadoodles. For starters I used the paper pad and foliage dies from the Belle Papillon collection. I distressed the edges of the paper and then added some copper gilding polish. I also added some of the polish to all the die cuts. I stamped the sentiment and cut it out using the middle die in the Elegant Nesting set of 3 dies. I finally added some flowers from my stash.

Thank you

Good morning. Happy New Year to you all. I hope this year is a very, happy and healthy one for you all. So here is my first post for 2017, and it's for the Digi Choosday blog so it's also
All of our challenges for you are anything goes but the team were challenged to make a Thank You card for our first challenge and here is my make.

For this card I've used the Twiggy and Toots collection. I've used a pre-coloured image for this and all the papers and embellies are from the same collection. I've fussy cut the embellies and made the fence 3D by adding the front bits as a second layer. Everything else is raised on 3D foam pads to make it all pop.

Anything Goes

Good morning and Happy
It's time for a new challenge from us at Digi Choosday, and it's the last challenge of the year for us before we break up for the year. Where has this year gone? I'm sure the older I get the faster the years fly by!
Anyhow as always for you the challenge is anything goes, and the team were also allowed to do anything we liked as well. So I thought I'd see the year out with a bang and share some home decor I have made for Christmas. And here it is.
I'm going to show you them letter by letter so you get a better look.
I used the Festive Christmas stamp soup collection for this.
They started out as plain MDF letters from one of the craft shows from this year.
I covered them all with papers from the collection and distressed the edges with a file. I then added some modelling paste around the edges of everything to look like snow. I then got to work fussy cutting lots and lots of embellies to add all over. I also added some paste to the Poinsettias to make it look like they had been snowed on. I added bits of bakers twine, and spider web behind some of the flowers and embellies to give them more interest.

And there you have it. I hope you like it as much as I do.
Now I want to thank you all for following me all year once again, and I wish each and every one of you a very merry christmas and a happy and healthy 2017. I know a lot of us have had a tough year this year so we will be saying goodbye to this year with a raised glass. And praying the next one will be better.
So see you all on the other side!
I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Traditional Christmas

Good morning everyone. It's time for a new challenge from us at the Polkadoodles challenge blog. And this week the team were set the challenge of Traditional Christmas. Well to me that screams red and greens so here is my make.
For this make I have used the Twiggy and Toots Festive Fun Christmas collection which is just adorable. I can't believe it's a year old already! Just how cute is this little owl santa! Everything you see on the card is from the collection. I've slightly distressed the edges of the papers and image and added some faux stitching with a white pen. Everything is raised using 3D foam.
I've added some glossy accents over his eyes to make them pop but it's a bit hard to catch on a photo.

Add a Tag

Good morning and Happy
It's time for a new challenge from us at Digi Choosday, for you it is anything goes but this week for the teams challenge we were asked to use a tag on our makes.
I used the Octavia Moonfly collection this week as I hadn't used it in a while and thought it deserved an airing. I used the pre-coloured version of the Dragonfly image. The papers, sentiments, butterfly, word art and flowers are all from the collection. Just how real do those flowers look! I added some liquid pearls to the centres of them and at the bottom of the card. Everything is matted onto Kraft card and mounted onto 3D foam to give the card real dimension. I used a Tattered Lace tag die to cut the sentiment out with and added an organza bow to it.
Here's  few close ups for you. Behind the flowers I used the Polkadoodles Sprig die.
See what I mean about those flowers looking real!
Now please pop over to the team blog and check out the rest of my teamies fab makes. And of course to grab that massive discount code that will last for 24 hours.

Good morning everyone. It's time for a new challenge from us at the Polkadoodles challenge blog. Although it is always anything goes for you when you enter, the team are still set a challenge, and this week the challenge we were set was to make something in blues for Christmas, and here is my make.
I've used the beautiful Octavia Frosted Winter Collection again. The image, papers, sentiment, bow, flowers and holly are all from the collection. I have use the Ribbon frame die to cut the image out and the sprigs die behind the flower. I have also used the Elegant Lamplight and Gate die.
