Whiff of Joy cards

These are some of the cards I've made over the weekend.The image is Willow with flower basket. I've used Promarkers to colour the image, DCWV papers and ribbon. And added a Cuttlebug embossed panel with prima flowers and some blingClose up of the image.

This image is Kneeling willow. Again I've used Promarkers, DCWV papers and ribbon, a Cuttlebug embossed panel and prima flowers and bling.

I love the brightness of this image, I think the colours go very well together. What do you think?

Dotties World Sunday Challenge

I can't believe how quickly a month has gone! This is my last week as Guest Designer for Dotties World

The challenge this week is Blast From The Past. It's been set by Louise and the brief is:

This week I want you to look through your photos of cards you've made in the past, find one you really like then recreate it using the exact same layout but with different papers and embellishments! Of course there must be a Charmed download image in there too!

So, here is my original card

I've used HOTP papers, embellishments and overlay. The image is Scruff in the tub which was a previous challenge freebie.

Dotties World Sunday challenge

The challenge over at Dotties World this week is:
This week I want to see stitching, hand or machine - but REAL stitching, no faux stitching like I am so fond of in my work!You must of course use one of more of the many, wonderful Charmed Downloads but the rest is up to you.

I thought I'd go for something different this week, and as I needed a place to put all my quote books I decided on a storage box.

I covered the box using DCWV papers and lined it with sticky back papers.

I've used an image and quotes from "Girls about town" which is one of the fabulous downloads available at Charmed cards and crafts

The image is coloured using Pro Markers.
I've hand stitched around the quote on the lid and stitched together some fabric petals to make a skirt for Nicola. I've also added some decorative stitching to the skirt.

I've also used Anitas sticky ribbons and a dismantled flower from Wilkinsons.

Dotties World Sunday challenge

The challenge over at Dotties World this week is "Lurve"I've used an image from the back to front collection and papers from DCWV.

On the front of the card you see the front image of Dottie and when you open the card you see the back image of Dottie.

The images are coloured using Promarkers.

Message book

I've made this for my darling Daisy who is leaving school this year. It is so her friends can write messages in it. It also has little pockets on some of the pages so she can put mementos in. I can't beleive she's leaving school already! It only seems a few years since she was born! lol

Dotties World challenge

I've been lucky enough to be picked as guest designer at Dotties World along with Tip Top for February, and this is my 1st challenge as a GD.
The challenge was:
Spring is nearly here......so I want to see shades of yellow & green

I think the Hippy Dottie image really suits a spring theme. I've used Promarkers to colour the image and used my Purple cows trimmer to cut the edges. The paper used is from DCWV matchmakers 2 paper stack.
This image really reminds me of my college days soooo long ago, lol

Another Dottie card!

Yet again I have been inspired by the Dottie and George back to front collection. I've been trying to figure ways of best showing off both sides of the images. I came up with the design of this card. A couple of them ended up in the bin to start with, but I got there in the end. And even if I do say so myself, I think the design works great with these images. I've also combined it with the Sunday challenge over at http://dotties-wonderful-world.blogspot.com/

I`ve used an acetate cover on this card so you can see the both sides of the image.

Dottie Mega card

After getting the Dottie & George back to front images from Charmed cards and crafts (see bilnkie on right), I wanted to do a card to show some of them off and this is what I came up with. It is a 3 layered gatefold card with the middle layer having a double gatefold on. I had great fun making it. All the images are coloured using promarkers and the paper are from Papermanias raspberry champagne creative tones.
