Oh I do like to be beside the seaside!

Good morning everyone. I'm here today with some mid Challenge inspiration for the Polkadoodles blog. The challenge for us that started last week was to make something to do with the seaside. But for you it is anything goes. And here is my make.
I spent ages and aged looking for some seaside and beach themed stamps to make some home decor for my new summer house which has a beach theme. So when Nikky Hall launched these I was more than a little bit giddy lol So I needed to make a door sign so I had bought a plain MDF plaque from the MDF man at Doncaster so used that for this.
I used one of the plainer papers from the Winnie Starfish and Sandcastles collection as a back ground. I then used the Tropical Oceans stamp set to stamp some background images onto the paper. I then stamped the porthole and the beach hut and coloured them in so they stood out. Finally I used a few of the MDF pieces from the Nautical large MDF embellies set. I painted them with some paint I had in my cupboard and then glued them in place.

Ribbon and lace

Good Morning and Happy Choosday everyone, and that of course means that it is
as well. So after you're done here don't forget to go over to the Digi Choosday blog to grab the code and of course check out my talented teamies makes.
The challenge for you is of course anything goes but for the team this week the challenge is to use either ribbon or lace, or both, and here is my make.

I used the amazing Winnie In Wonderland collection to create this gatefold card. You can buy this in smaller kits HERE if you don't want the full kit, but why wouldn't you, it's amazing!
So I chose a paper and matted onto black card for the front, then chose a paper and digitally cut a heart frame out for the inside to write a message on. I also matted this onto black card. I then chose my images, the red Queen and the White Rabbit and printed them out 4 times so I could decoupage them. I then printed out some embellie. I made the decoupage up and mounted all the embellies onto 3D foam to give the card dimension. I then added real bows over the printed ones on the right hand side, and added an extra ribbon triple bow over the playing cards.
This is the inside of the card.

And here are a few close ups of the dimension I got with the decoupage.
I printed everything for this onto matt photo paper so the colours stand out more.

 And finally the bows.

Other makes

Hi everyone, I've just popped on to share some of the other makes I've done lately and not got around to sharing for some reason. So it is very photo heavy. These are all Polkadoodles products and I will add the links for the various products under the photos. Please forgive me if I have shared any of these photos before.

These were made using the Tropical Underworld stamp set.

These are using the Magic Garden collection.

These were made using the Daisy Days and Summertime stamp sets.

Autumn Colours

Good morning and happy Choosday everyone. Yes it's

So over at the Digi Choosday blog today the challenge for you is of course Anything Goes, but for the DT we were asked to use Autumn colours and here is my make.

I love the colours that you see in leaves at this time of year, all the different shades of oranges, reds and purples so thought I would use that as my inspiration.

I've used the two butterfly stamps from the Absolute Vintage Stamp set. I've stamped a background with them and then stamped some individually and fussy cut them out. I then used 3 distress inks, Abandoned Coral, Pickled Raspberry and Seedless Preserve to create a graduated background and the same inks on the butterflies. I added some faux stitching around the background and created a topper using some dies and then inked and added faux stitching to that. I made a double bow and wrapped it around the background before gluing into place. I then shaped and glued on the butterflies, adding one on top of the bow.
You could use butterflies from any of the fab Polkadoodles collections to create this. And after I finished it I thought of an easier way to do it. You could fill an A5 or even an A4 sheet of card with either digi or stamped butterflies then go over the whole page with your inks, then choose the bit you want for your background and then fussy cut out the rest of the butterflies. It would be a lot easier than trying to ink individual butterflies.
