The challenge over at this week is Shabby Chic.
For my card I have used the gorgeous Sugarplum Daisy CD. The papers, image and sentiment are all from the CD. I have distressed all the edges of the papers and image with a file and then used the Tim Holtz Spun Sugar distress ink. I've then added some ribbon, flowers, die cuts and pearls. I've added a bit of glitter to the wings to make them sparkle, and added some faux stitching.
I think this CD will become one of my "go to" CD's as I spent ages looking through it before I put this card together.

Polka Doodles challenge week 6
The challenge over at Polka Doodles this week is Valentine/love, and here is my card.
The image is from the Pretty Tuff CD and coloured with ProMarkers. The papers and alpha are from the Magical Winter part 2 CD. I've matted the papers onto Kraft card and I've added a few stamped hearts, some die cuts and heart shaped buttons. I've also added some faux stitching.

Mad as a Hatter!
You all know how much I love Alice In Wonderland, which was obviously rekindled due the the new Tim Burton version! I wonder why, lol
Well as soon as I saw this image on Lacy Sunshine I knew I HAD to have it! Now I NEED to find a hat like it!
I've coloured the image with ProMarkers and FlexMarkers. I've also left quite a few white areas which seems to scare some people, but with all the red I thought it didn't need anything else.
The papers are more mag freebies, (I promised myself I would use all these up) and the tea cup papers were perfect for this image! The sentiment is from Stampin Up, and the ribbon from my stash. I've inked around the edges of the papers and image with black ink to make them pop out.

Pretty in pink
Todays card uses another Heather Valentine image which you can find in the Lacy Sunshine shop. The image is called Eleanor and Pickles We Fight Like Girls.
The hair is coloured with some red Copics and the rest of the image with ProMarkers and FlexMarkers. It's very pink isn't it! The papers were more mag freebies. I've also added some lace, flowers and a hat pin from my stash.

Wall art
Hello all it's my turn over at Polka Doodles with todays Studio 12 make.
I bought some cheap canvases a while ago and decided to use one for todays project. I printed out some papers, sentiments and images from the Studio 12 CD Picknix Collection 1. I cut them all up and inked around the edges of everything with a blue distress ink pad. I then printed out my surname in one of the lovely alphas from the CD, and again inked around the edges. I used a PVA glue to stick everything in place, then added a bit of lace, a clock die cut and some flowers and gems. Lastly I added some faux stictching around the edges.
Once our new extension is built this will be hung on the wall in there.

Lacy Sunshine cards
I have been seeing some of these images on FB on cards made by one of my talented friends Lexie, and had to go buy some! They are by Heather Valentine and you can buy them here.
These are 2 that I coloured and made into cards this weekend.
Both images are coloured with ProMarkers and FlexMarkers. For the 1st one I used the orange family as I think they go great with this image. The image reminds me of me a few years back, as this was so my style in my skinny days! lol
The papers on both cards are freebies that came with a mag. The 2nd one was harder for me as I don't "do" green, it's not a colour I wear, or like very much so it was outside my comfort zone, but I am pleased with how it turned out!
I'm entering these cards into the first challenge at the brand new Lacy Sunshine blog. The theme is "anything goes" so why not join in!
I'll try to get some cards made up with some of the other images I got at the same time sometime soon!

Polka Doodles challenge week 3
The challenge over at Polka Doodles this week is to make a project with 3 layers on and to use red and pink.
I made this weeks card for Mrs Polka Doodles' birthday. The papers are from the fabulous Studio 12 CD Picknix collection 1. I've printed them onto printable canvas to give some texture, and make it even more strokeable, frayed the edges and layered onto red card and kraft card. The cute image is from the new Cherry Blossom Lane CD. I've added some Marianne D diecuts, some flowers and gems. Everything is distressed with the Tim Holtz Festive Berries distress ink. Finally I've added some faux stitching.
I really enjoyed making this card and was really pleased with how it turned out. Just hope Nikky loves it as much as I do!

Been playing
I've done a bit of colouring over the weekend as I was cooped up indoors because of the snow!
I've been playing with different colours to create red hair. Here are a couple of the coloured images I have made into cards.
I'm quite happy with how the hair has turned out on these 2 images.
Both images are from Saturated Canary and are coloured with Copics. I'm also trying to use up some of the massive pile of papers I have accumulated over the years, so these are quite old now, but still lovely.

Polka Doodles Week 4 challenge
The challenge over at Polka Doodles this week is Monochrome. It's not often I do black and white for a monochrome challenge but thought I would this time.
The image and papers are from my fave Polka Doodles CD the Candy Doodles Collectors Edition. I've coloured the image using Copics and ProMarkers. I've made flowers using the Marianne D Creatables LR0162 die, using a circle punch and have also made my own ribbon flowers. I've also used a border punch, a bit of lace and a bow from my stash.

Polka Doodles Week 3 challenge
The challenge over at Polka Doodles this week is Stitching (real or faux)
For this weeks challenge I've used an image, sentiment and papers from the fabulous Candy Doodles Collectors edition CD. I've pierced around the edges with my pokey tool and then drawn on faux stitches. I've coloured the image using ProMarkers and added a few buttons and a ribbon. I've kept this card quite simple as I usually do with male cards.
