Dr Digi

Good morning everyone. Today's post is for the Colour Crazy Craft Challenge blog.
The theme as always is anything goes and this week we are being sponsored by Dr Digi, and I chose to use A Dunderton Abroad. I think I may have chosen this with our holiday and my husband in mind! Mind you, he shaved his tash off a few years back now. Anyway, here is what I did with him.
I coloured this with my  Copics for a change. The colours I used are:
Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00
Blues: B26, B37, B39
Greens: G21, G94, G99
Browns: E35, E57, E47
Pinks: RV21, RV13, RV34
The Papers are from Stampin 'Up

Design sheet

Good morning everyone, this week for our mid challenge inspiration at the Polkadoodles challenge blog, the team were challenged to use a design sheet for their makes. And here is mine.
I've used design sheet 1 from the ever so sweet Winnie Sugar Sprinkles collection. I started by drawing faux stitching around the edge of the card and running an ink pad around the edge of the paper. I then fussy cut and mounted all the embellies on to 3D foam before placing them on the card. For the banners I've shaped them so the look like the are blowing in the breeze.
I'm really loving these design sheets lately, they're so easy to use if you want them to be, or you can take it further if you want to.

Design Sheet

Good morning and Happy
Today over at the Digi Choosday blog the team were challenged to use a design sheet. The challenge for you, if you wish to enter, is as always anything goes.
So I thought I would make an early start on my Christmas cards for this year by using a design sheet from the fab Baked With Love download collection. I love all the Gingerbreads that Nikky creates, I think they are just adorable and those who are regulars to my blog, know I use them loads and loads.
So I started with an A5 Kraft card blank, and ran around the edge with a stitch tool, and then went over it with a brown fine liner pen to make it look stitched. I then cut out all the elements on the design sheet and arranged them on the card. When I was happy with the position of everything I glued them down.
When I fussy cut I like to leave a border around everything to make it pop a bit more. It also saves having to cut around very delicate areas and risking chopping them off.

Special Birthdays

Good morning and a very, very happy
Today over at the Digi Choosday blog we are celebrating "Special Birthday's".
"Why was that theme chosen?" I hear you ask, well, it's a certain someones 50th birthday this coming Saturday. Yep, you guessed it, I will be 50 magnificent years old (young) on Saturday. I've been looking forward to this for so long, and planning my party for about a year now. I can't show you all the things I've made yet but I will do after the event. My unbirthday surely will be a frabjous event. I just hope the Jaberwocky doesn't fly in an cause havoc. And I do hope the Tweedles don't send people off in the wrong direction to Trotters Bottom, or the ghastly Salezen Grum. Oh and I hope my cake isn't Upelkuchen. And if anyone has a Bandersnatch please leave it tied up outside, I wouldn't want them to get hurt while we are all doing the Futterwacken!
So, onto today's make. Seeing as my party has a Mad Hatter's Tea Party these I have (once again) used the fabulous Winnie In Wonderland collection. I have covered these cardboard numbers using one of the backing papers, I covered them with a black acrylic paint first. I then slightly distressed the edges by lightly sanding them, then added some faux stitching with a white pen. I then printed and fussy cut lots and lots of images and embellies out. I laid them all in place on the numbers, moving them around until I was happy with them, and then glued them all in place, and there you have it. I will put these in the middle of the food table I think.

Here they are individually so you can see them closer.

Righto, I'll be back soon, another year older, but probably not wiser!

Easter

Good morning and a very happy
This week over at the Digi Choosday blog the team were challenged to make something with an Easter theme, for you of course it's anything goes. So here is my make.

I've inked around the edges of the paper to make it stand out as I haven't matted any card onto the back of it. I also added a squiggly line around the edge with a fine liner pen. I've mounted all the embellies on to 3D foam and there you have it. Quite a simple, but effective card.

Not a square card

Good morning from us all at the Polkadoodles challenge blog
This week the challenge set for the team was to make anything but a square card. I thought I would make a circle card for a change as I haven't made one for a while. So here it is.
I have used left over bits of design sheet 1 from the ever so cute Sticks and Bone collection. I used the other bits for a make a few weeks ago. This is why it's always worth while saving the bits that are left over. I've used the Tattered Lace Decorative Edge circle dies to create the card shape and added a squiggly line around the edge. I've place the image and all the embellies on to 3D foam to make them pop. I've shaped and layered the flowers and added to the edge of the card.
Don't forget to go over to our blog to see all the other makes from the team.

Spring

Good morning and a very happy
Today over at the Digi Choosday blog the team were challenged to make something with a Spring feel, the challenge for you is as always anything goes. So I chose to use the beautiful Winnie Sugar Sprinkles collection, and worked with design sheet 5 from it. As you can see I didn't use the Winnie image from the collection but it still makes a beautiful card. There were a few other bits left as well, which will go to make another card. The card blank is cream and I have drawn a line around the edges with a brown fine liner pen. I have used a brown ink to ink around the edges of the paper and topper, and mounted all the embellies on 3D foam.

Now don't forget to pop over to the blog to grab today's massive discount code, and of course check out all my teamies makes.
