Anything Goes

Good morning and Happy
It's time for a new challenge from us at Digi Choosday, and it's the last challenge of the year for us before we break up for the year. Where has this year gone? I'm sure the older I get the faster the years fly by!
Anyhow as always for you the challenge is anything goes, and the team were also allowed to do anything we liked as well. So I thought I'd see the year out with a bang and share some home decor I have made for Christmas. And here it is.
I'm going to show you them letter by letter so you get a better look.
I used the Festive Christmas stamp soup collection for this.
They started out as plain MDF letters from one of the craft shows from this year.
I covered them all with papers from the collection and distressed the edges with a file. I then added some modelling paste around the edges of everything to look like snow. I then got to work fussy cutting lots and lots of embellies to add all over. I also added some paste to the Poinsettias to make it look like they had been snowed on. I added bits of bakers twine, and spider web behind some of the flowers and embellies to give them more interest.

And there you have it. I hope you like it as much as I do.
Now I want to thank you all for following me all year once again, and I wish each and every one of you a very merry christmas and a happy and healthy 2017. I know a lot of us have had a tough year this year so we will be saying goodbye to this year with a raised glass. And praying the next one will be better.
So see you all on the other side!
I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Traditional Christmas

Good morning everyone. It's time for a new challenge from us at the Polkadoodles challenge blog. And this week the team were set the challenge of Traditional Christmas. Well to me that screams red and greens so here is my make.
For this make I have used the Twiggy and Toots Festive Fun Christmas collection which is just adorable. I can't believe it's a year old already! Just how cute is this little owl santa! Everything you see on the card is from the collection. I've slightly distressed the edges of the papers and image and added some faux stitching with a white pen. Everything is raised using 3D foam.
I've added some glossy accents over his eyes to make them pop but it's a bit hard to catch on a photo.

Add a Tag

Good morning and Happy
It's time for a new challenge from us at Digi Choosday, for you it is anything goes but this week for the teams challenge we were asked to use a tag on our makes.
I used the Octavia Moonfly collection this week as I hadn't used it in a while and thought it deserved an airing. I used the pre-coloured version of the Dragonfly image. The papers, sentiments, butterfly, word art and flowers are all from the collection. Just how real do those flowers look! I added some liquid pearls to the centres of them and at the bottom of the card. Everything is matted onto Kraft card and mounted onto 3D foam to give the card real dimension. I used a Tattered Lace tag die to cut the sentiment out with and added an organza bow to it.
Here's  few close ups for you. Behind the flowers I used the Polkadoodles Sprig die.
See what I mean about those flowers looking real!
Now please pop over to the team blog and check out the rest of my teamies fab makes. And of course to grab that massive discount code that will last for 24 hours.

Christmas Birthday

Good morning and Happy
It's time for a new challenge from us at Digi Choosday, for you it is anything goes but this week for the teams challenge we were asked to make a Christmas Birthday card. Well mine isn't exactly a Christmas birthday but a winter birthday made using a mainly Christmas collection. It was my mums birthday at the end of November so I made this card for her. I have used the stunning Octavia Frosted Winter collection. I think this is another one of those collections that will never age, and I will never tire of. I used the Winter Time image, but the coloured one from the collection. The papers, embellies and flowers are from the collection too. Yes even those brads are paper! Don't they look real?
I used the Polkadoodles Bubbleicious Frame Die to cut out the image. The sentiments are from Tattered Lace and the ribbon and gem from my stash.

Here are a few close ups for you.

I cut the sentiment from black card and then in white cars 5 times. I glued them all together with the black one on the bottom to give it a shadow.
Now please pop over to the team blog and check out the rest of my teamies fab makes. And of course to grab that massive discount code that will last for 24 hours.

Old Bags!

Good afternoon everyone. I'm here today with something new, and a little bit different for you from the talented Nikky Hall at Polkadoodles.
Polkadoodles sponsors the Passionate Paper Creations group and the founder of that group, Rhea Wigland is turning 50 today. So to celebrate that Nikky has drawn some fabulous new tongue in cheek images, and I was lucky enough to be asked to colour some up and join in the celebrations.
So here is the first of my makes for this.

I've used the "Scratch It" image and coloured it in with my Copic markers.
The papers and paper bow I've used are from the wonderful Winston Collection.

You can get the images HERE, and Nikky is doing some fab offers on them, so the more you buy the bigger discount you will get. And you will also get some FREE sentiments to use with them.
