Swirls and Flourishes

Good morning everyone, did you manage to catch Nikky's show on Create and Craft on Wednesday? If not you can catch it HERE. It's well worth a watch as there are some fabulous new products on there that you won't want to miss!
So today I have some mid challenge inspiration for you from the challenge at the Polkadoodles challenge blog that started last week, and the challenge is "Swirls and Flourishes" and here is my make.
I've used the fab new Little Kingdom collection that was on the show on Wednesday. The whirls and flourishes are on the fabulous toadstools and I have added some dried flowers as added flourishes to the little scene. To create this I used a box that had some little shot glasses in and started off my painting it black to frame the lovely bright colours I knew I was going to use. I cut out lots of flowers, embellies, toadstools and houses. I layered up some of the items to make them pop out. Then I decided on the arrangement in to box and stuck everything down with either 3D foam or glue. I added some Wink Of Stella pen to the butterfly and home sentiment to make them sparkle. I then added some dried flowers along the bottom of the box and behind the flowers. Finally I finished it off by adding a bow of bakers twine.
Here are a few close ups for you to see the detail better.

So as I said the challenge is Things With Wings and here is my make.
I've used the oh so cute Lily Bug Love collection. I've used a pre-coloured image but you can also get her in black and white for you to colour in HERE. The papers and embellies are also from the same collection.
I've used a distress tool to slightly distress the edges of the card and paper layers, and mounted the image and the embellies onto 3D foam.

Tic Tac Toe

Good morning and Happy Choosday everyone. Yes of course that means that it's
So after you've done here get over to the blog and grab your code for today. It runs out at midnight so don't forget it!

So this weeks new challenge at Digi Choosday is Tic Tac Toe and here is the grid to choose from.

I chose to use the bottom row of wings, tag and flower.
So I created this cute gift tag. I've used the fab Winnie Fruit Punch collection again, and that cute fat Bee I'm in love with! I fussy cut the Bees, the sentiment and flowers and leaf. I used a clear Wink Of Stella pen on the Bees wings to make them sparkle, you can just about see it on the photo. It may be quick and simple but I think it's effective, what about you?
The tag is a Tattered Lace set.

Emboss it!

Good morning and Happy Choosday everyone. Yes of course that means that it's
So after you've done here get over to the blog and grab your code for today. It runs out at midnight so don't forget it!

So this weeks new challenge at Digi Choosday is to use some embossing. I've chosen to use dry embossing. I cut this card out and then used the A5 Honeycomb Tattered Lace die to emboss the background of the card. Then I printed lots and lots of embellies from the fabulous new Winnie Fruit Punch collection. Of course I adore this kit as I do all Polkadoodles kits, but I think I'm a little bit in love with this little fat Bee, he's just so adorable! So I spent a very enjoyable hour or so fussy cutting all the bits out. I glued the honeycomb border on and put all the rest of the bits onto 3D foam to give some dimension to them
Here is a close up so you can see the embossed background, and get a closer look at that cute Bee!

Floral Frenzy

Good morning everyone. We have a new challenge starting for you this week at the Polkadoodles challenge blog, and that is
Floral Frenzy

And here is my make.
I have used the fabulous Lavender Tea download collection again, yep I really do love it.
This is a milk bottle from Ikea that I wanted to upcycle into some home decor.
I just printed lots and lots of flowers and butterflies and 2 word toppers onto glossy photo paper. I cut them all out, gave them some form and layered them up. I then cut drinking straws to different lengths and glued the flowers and butterflies on them, on both sides of the straws so it looks good from the back too. I put the 2 message toppers onto the tallest straw so that it would stand out. I then printed some papers and cut strip to wrap around the base of the bottle. I inked the edges and added some faux stitching to the top two pieces. I then added some more butterflies and flowers to the outside of the bottle and finished it off with some silver ribbon and a matching bow.
This is a great idea to give to someone who is in hospital or someone who loves flowers but doesn't have them in the house due to allergies.
Here are a few more photos.

Now don't forget to pop over to the blog to see the rest of my teamies makes.

Anything Goes

Good morning and Happy Choosday everyone.
Before I get on to to today's post I need to tell you about an amazing new release over at Polkadoodles. On Saturday, Sunday and yesterday did you see we had a massive launch party over on Facebook and our blogs, for the next in the adorable Winnie's collection. It is called Fruit Punch and you can find the full download collection HERE, the CD HERE and the elements as separate products HERE. It is just adorable, have a peek!

Right onto the main reason I'm here today. Of course it's
and I'm here with this weeks challenge which is "Anything Goes" and here is my make.
I've used the fabulous Lavender Tea download collection again. I've printed one of the images onto water colour card and used my Kuretake Gansai Tambi water colour paints to colour it in. Then I've simply matted and layered onto coordinating card and added a border with a fine liner pen. Now don't forget to go over to the blog and check out my fabulous teamies makes and of course, grab todays massive discount code.

Busy little Bee!

I'm here with my third make for the launch party over on Facebook, for the next in the adorable Winnie's collection. It is called Fruit Punch and you can find the full download collection HERE, the CD HERE and the elements as separate products HERE. It is just adorable, have a peek!
Well I say third but I suppose it's third and fourth as it is a card with a matching box!
I've used the hexagon essentials dies and the hexagon box dies from Tattered Lace to make these as they fit perfectly with the adorable bumble bee and his hive. I've used pre-coloured images on this one and added some glaze to the jars to make them look like real glass. I fussy cut all the images and sentiments as I wanted them all shaped. Just look at that little honeycomb embellie, isn't it adorable! I've printed everything here into cream card to make it more natural as I thought white was too harsh for these images.
Here are a few close ups.
And here is the box. I've put some of the backing paper inside as well so you can see it through the acetate front. The box could then be used to store something other than the card then.

And here they are as a set.
Ok that's it from me for this launch so far, but don't worry I'll be back with more of these makes before you know it! And of course you can go check out my teamies makes as well for more inspiration.

Dandelion Daysy

I'm here with my second make for the launch party over on Facebook, for the next in the adorable Winnie's collection. It is called Fruit Punch and you can find the full download collection HERE, the CD HERE and the elements as separate products HERE. It is just adorable, have a peek!
This time I've coloured up the gorgeous Dandelion Daysy image and made a card with her. I've used two of the fab backing papers one butterfly and one of the fab word arts. You can't see it on the photos but I've added some sparkle with the clear Wink Of Stella pen on the butterfly and the Dandelion clocks.

Winnie!

Have you seen the massive launch party over on Facebook and our blogs, for the next in the adorable Winnie's collection. It is called Fruit Punch and you can find the full download collection HERE, the CD HERE and the elements as separate products HERE. It is just adorable, have a peek!

Here is my first make using this fab collection, an old fave of mine, the pop up box.
I started by printing two of the fab papers onto  a sheet of card, one on each side. I then made up the box and cut out all the fab elements I wanted to use. I shaped them all and added some onto strips of acetate to appear to "float" and then added some to the flaps of the box.

Cream and Sugar

Good morning everyone. I'm here with some mid challenge inspiration for the Polkadoodles challenge blog today. The challenge that started last week is "Cream and Sugar" and here is my make.
And of course the new Work and Play 12 collection is perfect for this challenge. I have used the coffee section but not used one of the Barista character images. I put the cup cake and the coffee together to make a topper out of them.
I printed the images out 3 times and decoupaged them up. I cut out some embellies and pasted some glue over them to make them easier to shape. I then went over them with a clear Wink of Stella pen.
