Spring Colours

Good morning and Happy

The new challenge we have for you over at the Digi Choosday blog this week is
Spring Colours.
Pink, Blue, Yellow and Green.
Has Spring sprung where you are? As I'm writing this post (Friday 25th March) it's a beautiful sunny day here, the sun makes everything look so much better doesn't it. It also makes lots of people, like me, feel better. So here is my make for this week.

I have used the colours Blue and Green and an image from the fab Lavender Tea download collection and printed it out a few times to decoupage it. I have coloured it with Kuretake Gansai Tanbi watercolours paints. I'm getting a bit addicted to these since I got them at the beginning of last December. I've used them on lots of stuff (that I haven't blogged, yet) and have barely made a dint in them, they really do go a long way

Now don't forget to pop over to the blog to see my talented teamies makes, and of course to grab today's discount code.

Oooo I forgot to tell you we now have an additional top 3 winners slot, and this is called "Feather in your cap" It's only for those that use a Polkadoodles image but you can now also enter the challenge THREE times if one of those uses a Polkadoodles image. So get entering with one of our images and Nikky and the admin team may pick you to receive a feather. Check out the full rules HERE!

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Lavender Tea again!

I know another day I'm not usually blogging lol but I want to share another make from the Polkadoodles Lavender Tea collection. And here it is.

This was a real easy one to make I printed the flower 3 times and coloured it with my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolours again and layerd it up. I did a few simple mats and added some faux stitching around the edges. I've not put a sentiment on this one so it can be used for any occasion. I really can't wait for my stamps to arrive as you can do so much more with them.

Lavender Tea

Good morning everyone, I know it's unusual for me to be here on a Wednesday but I really wanted to share what I've been making over the last few days. I didn't get to do DT samples for the latest Polkadoodles releases but of course I loved the collection so had to buy it. I'm still waiting for my stamps to arrive so I've been playing with the digi stamps on the download collection. This is from the Lavender Tea set.

Who doesn't love a butterfly? I've printed this one quite large it's 12cm across and printed twice so I could give it some height. I've coloured it using my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolours that I got a while ago. And because I chose such vibrant colours I created my own background by splashing some Dylusions Ink sprays. I'm really pleased with the result and don't think I'll want to part with this one!

Flower Frenzy

Good Morning and Happy Choosday everyone. You know what that means, yes it's
over at the Digi Choosday blog. So after you're done here don't forget to go over and grab the code for today. And don't forget to check out my fab teamies makes as well.

So the new challenge we have set this week is

Flower Frenzy

And here is my make for this week.

I've created a fabulous bouquet of flowers that don't need water and will never wither and die. I've used the new Work and Play 12 collection. To make the box I printed one of the papers straight onto some cream 300gsm card, printing onto cream card gives you a slightly different look than white card, it makes things a bit softer, give it a go for a change. I then printed another paper onto Centura Pearl card for the part of the box under the flaps. I then cut out lots and lots of flowers and glued them all onto strips of acetate and glued in place in the box. I then added a sentiment and some pearls in the centre of the flowers to finish it off. Now who wouldn't want to receive flowers like this!

Spring Delights

It's time for a new challenge over at the Graph'It Markers colouring challenge blog, and this time we are being sponsored by the lovely Ching-Chou Kuik Digital stamps. I got to play with the adorable Embrace The Ocean image, and here she is.

The colours I used are:
Skin: 4120, 4125, 4150, 3120
Hair: 7240, 7250, 7270
Greens: 8140, 8260
Oranges: 2110, 2150, 2160
Background: 7220 and Mix It Fluid.

This is the colour inspritaion I used. I had to add the oranges in extra for the shells.

Spring Pastels

Good Morning everyone, it's nearly the weekend, are you looking forward to it? Will you be doing lots of crafting? Well if so we may have some inspiration for you at the Polkadoodles Challenge Blog as we had a new challenge start last week. At PD HQ we are all enjoying the freshness of spring, the Daffodils are blooming and all the wildlife is coming alive. So we thought our challenge should represent that with the theme of
Spring Colours
I know it's not my week for a make but with me being away I was eager to get crafting and couldn't stop with this fab collection, so here is my make.

I have of course used the fab new Work and Play Collection 12 to make this stepper card. I printed one of the backing papers onto card stock to create the card blank. Then I printed out all the embellies and the cat topper. I wanted to make the topper 3D so I printed it 3 times and decoupaged it up. There wasn't a sentiment I wanted to use in the collection but there was a blank tag. So I took the tag into Paint and added my own sentiment on it which says "Sorry you're feeling pawly" Did you see what I did, paw-ly lol, well it tickled me at the time. So pop over to the blog for some more spring ideas from my talented teamies!

Thinking of you.

Good morning everyone, hope you are all well. I'm finally back in the UK and more importantly, back in my craft room, after my travels. I've had a fabulous time away spending time with my family that I don't often get to see. I also got to see more of New Zealand than I did last time which was amazing, it truly is a beautiful country.
Anyhoo, onto the reason I'm here today.
Sooooo of course my first post back is for the Digi Choosday blog where this weeks challenge is Thinking of You. So here is my make.
I have used the ever so cute Lily Bug Love collection which is available on download as a whole kit HERE. Or as separates HERE. I have coloured her with my Graph'It Markers and backed all the papers onto black card to make everything pop.
Don't forget to go over to the BLOG and grab today's discount code, it only lasts one day don't forget, and check out all my teamies makes too.

I'm entering this into the following challenges:

Tic Tac Toe

Good morning everyone, it's time for some mid challenge inspiration over at the Polkadoodles challenge blog. And this week it is Tic Tac Toe and we were given this diagram to chose from.
I chose to use the bottom line, wings, tag and flower.
Everything I have used on my make is once again from the Sticks and Stones collection. Can you tell how much I love it lol I decided it was time for me to make a pop up box as it's been a while since I made one. To make one all you need to do is score a piece of A4 card on the short side at 7, 14, 21 and 28cms and then on the long side in the centre. Cut down 3 of the score lines on the short side to the middle and fold. The extra bit that is left over after the scoring on the short side is the piece where you glue it together.

I coloured the image with my pens and fussy cut around it. I printed out lots of embellies, word art and tags and fussy cut them too. I stuck them all onto strips of acetate to make them look like they are floating in mid air. Here are the side views.
