Good morning bloggers. Are you ready for the weekend? It's very nearly here, so let's hope it's a bright and beautiful one for you. It will be for me as I'm currently sunning myself in Egypt! Sorry!
Well on with my make for this weeks new challenge over at Polkadoodles. The theme we have for the next two weeks is Ribbon and Lace. Here is my make:
It started out life as a plain MDF tag that I got at a craft show last year. To start with I painted over it all with white gesso to give it a base. I then covered it in paper from the Dollie Daydream Goes East Collection. I then added some faux stitching around the edges and then painted over it with Iridescent Paste to give it some shimmer. I then coloured an image from the Candy Doodles Collectors Edition CD using my Graph'It Markers. I added a flower from the Dollie Goes East CD and some lace and ribbon from my stash.

Anything Goes
Good morning and Happy Choosday everyone. This week over at Digi Choosday we are having an "Anything Goes" challenge, so come and join us. Here is my make for this week.
It started out life as a plain MDF pen holder that I got at a craft show last year.
It started out life as a plain MDF pen holder that I got at a craft show last year.
I started with priming the bare would with white gesso putting two coats around the edges so I wouldn't have to cover them with paper. I then printed 2 sheets of paper out from the fabulous Dollie Goes Daydream East download. This is also available as a CD should you wish to get it that way.
I then covered the pen holder inside and out with the paper and added some faux stitching around the edge with a fine black pen. I then painted over the whole thing with Glassy Gel to make it more robust and to stop the paper peeling off. I then chose all my embellishments and printed them out, cut them out and then painted over them with Iridescent Paste to give them some shimmer. I then put them on 3D foam and glued them in place. Finally I made some rolled roses from the left over paper. This now has pride of place on my desk for pens that I use regularly.

Pink & White Inspiration
I'm here today to share some mid challenge inspiration with you for the Premium Craft Brands blog. The challenge which started last week is "Pink & White" and here is my make.
It started out as a plain MDF plaque which I primed with white Gesso. I then covered it with the dotty paper from the Octavia Moonfly collection. I lightly sanded the edge of the paper and used the Magenta Pan Pastel to colour the distressing and added some faux stitching. I then painted over the paper with the Glassy Gel to give it a sheen. I then used the dots part of the Leaves & Birds mask and put light modelling paste through it.
I then used a sentiment from the Octavia collection and covered it in Glassy Gel again. I then used some flowers from the same collection and some lace from my stash.

All Things Kraft!
Good morning all, I'm here today with a mid challenge inspiration post for the Polkadoodles challenge blog. The challenge which started last week is "All Things Kraft"
I knew straight away I wanted to use the Double Sprinkles Of Kraft CD rom, as I love Kraft myself so adore this CD. Here is my make:
The image is a pre-coloured one which we tend to forget are on the CD's these days. The blue hearts I have cut out from the backing paper which was left over after making the card. The Kraft heart is from a Tattered Lace die and the sentiment is from Dutch Doobadoo.. I used the Tim Holtz Vintage Photo distress ink around the edges of everything and then added faux stitching with the Graph'It Shake white marker pen.
