Nordic Christmas

Good morning everyone, I'm here today with a new challenge for the Polkadoodles Challenge blog, the challenge is Nordic Christmas and here is my make.

I got these MDF letters at a craft show back in the summer and dug them out for this challenge. I love nothing better than to make my own Christmas decorations, I think it shows your own style off to people. I started by giving them a coat of White Gesso. The papers I have used are from Magical Winter and all the embellies are from Work & Play Festive Hollybobs. I have done faux stitching with the white Shake It pen from Graph'It Markers and I have added some White Gesso and Light Modelling Paste to look like snow. The die cut poinsettias are from Tattered Lace.
Here are some close up of the individual letters.

I can't wait to hang this up in the bar to show off to everyone!

Presents and gifts

Good morning blogland, it Choosday again and todays challenge is all about Christmas Presents and Gifts. I have made a gift box for my make to put a present inside.
I have used a paper (printed onto card) and embellishments from the Work & Play Festive Hollybobs CD. I have printed the poinsettia 3 times and decoupaged it up to give it some dimension. The presents, reindeer, holly and sentiment are all on 3D foam to give them dimension as well.

Cold and Frosty

Good morning all, I'm here today with a make for the Premium Craft Brands blog where the new challenge that starts this week is "Cold and Frosty Colours". That's perfect for the time of year in the UK isn't it!
I have created a background by drawing some rough squares with a fine liner pen and then colouring them and the background in using Pan Pastels. I have used the Pearlescent blue, green and yellow Pans. I have used the stamps from The Purpose of Art stamp set and coloured them in using the same colour Pan Pastels.

More bling

Todays post is some mid challenge inspiration for the Premium Craft Brands blog, and the challenge is still to add some bling. I've kept with the CAS these I used last time.
I have used the Winter Spruce stamp set for this card and have coloured the tree and the holly with the Permanent Green Pan Pastel. I have added some red pearls to the holly for my bling element.

Good morning and Happy Choosday everyone. Today at the Digi Choosday blog we have set the challenge of making a thank you card but using winter colours. Here is my make.
I have chosen a cool blue colour palette. The image is Octavia bird in hand and is an instant download item. She is coloured with my Graph'It Makers. The papers, flowers and butterflies are all from the Dollie Daydream Download Collection, this is also available as a CD. The bird cage and sentiment are Tattered Lace dies.

Bling!

This mornings post is for the Premium Craft Brands blog where the challenge is to Add Some Bling, and here is my make. I've gone very CAS for this one so the stamp does all the work.

I have used the Perfect Poinsettia Stamp set. I have layered the stamp up on 3D foam to really make it pop. I have coloured the Poinsettia in with the Permanent Red and Permanent Green Pan Pastels. The sentiment is from the same stamp set. The bling I have added is in the centre of the flower, I have added some gold pearls.

Dies

Good morning everyone, I'm here today with a make for We Do Doobadoo. The challenge this time is to enhance dies.
I have used a Sizzix crown die to match the image. I have then used the Kraft Crown which I have coloured with a Gold Pan Pastel. I have also used the Kraft Hearts and the laser cut Fence. I have aged the edges using the Orange Extra Dark Pan Pastel.
The image and bow are from the Winston CD from Polkadoodles, which is also available as an instant download.
