Fancy and Frills
It's time a new challenge over at the Graph'It Marker Challenge Blog. The challenge set last week was Fancy and Frills and here is my take on it.
I have printed one of the papers from the Studio 12 CD-rom Picknix Collection 1 onto some card and made a box. I then printed the cupcake image from the same CD onto some Ultimate Graphic 160gsm paper and coloured it with Graph'It Markers. I then cut some die cuts and stamped the sentiment and Butterfly from a Premium Crafts Brands stamp set. I used a Graph'It MIX'IT Palette and a blender pen to give the butterfly a water coloured look. I coloured the edges of all the die cuts with Graph'It Markers.

I then added the colour with the Permanent Red - Pan Pastel and the Ultramarine Blue - Pan Pastel. I then outlined the diamonds with a black pen. I also used the Dutch Doobadoo Envelope Stencil.

Premium Craft Brands challenge
I hope you are all having a good weekend. I'm here today with my DT make for the Premium Craft Brands challenge blog. The challenge theme is Florals.
Here is my make
For the background I have used the Dutch Doobadoo Mask/Stencil Art A5 - Flower Swirl. I went around the stencil with a black pen to make the design pop more. I then used the Magenta Extra Dark Pan Pastel through the mask just around the edges. I then use the Magenta Pan Pastel and went a little further in the stencil. Finally for the middle of the stencil I used the Orange - Pan Pastel. I took the mask away and went around the edges with the Black Pan Pastel. I then painted over the background with Maimeri Glassy Gel.
I covered some die cut flowers with the same Pan Pastels and then painted over them with Maimeri Iridescent Paste for added sheen. Finally I stamped the frame and message from the Premium Art Brands Roses stamp set.

I've taken the theme laterally and this is my make.
I've taken the theme laterally and this is my make.
So where's the wings you are asking! They are on her arms, water wings!
The cute image is from the Work and Play collection CD 4 which will be in the store soon!
She is coloured with Graph'It Markers. The papers are from the Wonderland CD-Rom and the die cut beach huts are from Tattered Lace. To get the distressed effect on them I painted them with White Gesso and then used Pan Pastels over the top. Then I have sanded them and then added a touch more Gesso on the railings. I think the effect is great, give it a go!
For the sand and sea I have used some micro beads I have had in a drawer for years!

Memories of the Maldives
I'm here today with some mid challenge inspiration for the Premium Craft Brands Blog. The challenge set last week was to pick a colour palette. Here is my chosen colour palette
I chose this colour palette as it reminded me so much of my Maldives holiday. Oh how I wish I was back there right now! Anyhoo, onto my project, here it is.
It started out life as a plain cardboard door hanger. I started by covering it in a layer of white Gesso and letting it dry (I used a heat gun to hurry it on). I then placed the Doobadoo Flower Swirl stencil over it. I mixed the Ultramarine Blue Pan Pastel with some Maimeri Light Modeling Paste and used it in random places over the stencil. I then did the same with the Turquoise Pan Pastel, and then the Permanent Green Pan Pastel. Finally I covered the whole thing with Maimeri Glassy Gel to make it look wet like the ocean. I then layered up some spiders web, a wide ribbon and a narrow ribbon and tied them around the centre. I then cut a set of flowers out of the Tattered Lace Lavish Blooms. I coloured the flowers with the same Pans and then coated them with Maimeri Iridescent Paste. I was just wanting to give them a different look but the paste made them really pliable and lots easier to curl and mold into shape. I can see me using this lots more now!

Polkadoodles challenge week 19
Good morning all, it's time for some mid challenge inspiration over at the Polkadoodles blog. The challenge that was set last week is to use something old and something new together. Here is my card.
The image I have used is from the Work & Play Collection 2 CD, which is also available as an instant download. Or you can just buy the Gardener image by itself. The papers are the "old" element on this card and they are from the Pretty Tuff CD Rom. The garden shed it made my using a wood effect stamp on kraft card and then I've used the Tattered Lace beach hut die. I think it makes it look like a garden shed, don't you? The mushrooms are also from a TL die. The little plant pots are real terracotta and were given to me by my friend in Spain who rescued them from going in a bin as she knew I would use them!

Digi Choosday challenge week 18
Good morning everyone, it's time for another challenge over at Digi Choosday and this week the challenge is to make something for a kids party. Here is my make
I have used the Boys Hoot Download Bundle to create this invite, I thought the owl peeking out of the box was perfect for a surprise party. I took the topper into a graphic program (MCS) to make the sentiment. I have layered up the lid and bow on the box and the sentiment using 3D foam.
