Premium Craft Brands Challenge

Hello again everyone, 'tis I again with another post and some news for you. I have been asked to join the fabulously talented Premium Craft Brands team! How lucky am I that I now have an excuse to play more with Pan Pastels and Gesso and other mediums and basically get messy!
Anyhoo, here is my first project for them. You saw it yesterday but today I am telling you which products from PAB I used
I used White Gesso through the Dutch Doobadoo Mask, let it dry them rubbed over the top with a Versamark ink pad and then used the Rich Gold Pan Pastel over the top to pick up the honeycomb texture. I then stamped out some flowers from the Studio 12 Vintage Scruffy Flowers A5 stamp set and again used the Versamark and Pan Pastel over them. I also stamped some of the leaves from the stamp set and then used the 640.3 permanent Green Shade - Pan Pastel over them.
Here are all the PCB products:

Moments to be remembered.

Hello everyone, are you all aware that the Studio 12 side of Polka Doodles has moved back to it's original home? We gatecrashed on the main blog for a while but have decided it was time for us to go back home, so now you can find us back here.
I think most of you are aware we had an awful lot of building work done last year so thought I would create a little mini book to show the major changes we had done (I will scrap the whole build when I get some time). And today I want to share the cover of the book with you.

For the main focal part I have used the The purpose of Art A6 - Susan K Weckesser at Studio 12
The purpose of Art A6 - Susan K Weckesser at Studio 12

The papers I have used are from the Studio 12 CD-rom Picknix Collection 1, which I have used a distress ink on and added some black lines around the edges to give more interest. I have then stamped some flowers from the Vintage Scruffy Flowers A5 stamp set and again distressed them and added a bit of colour also using distress ink.

Polka Doodles mid challenge reminder

It's time for the mid challenge reminder over at Polka Doodles. The challenge was started last week and is "Mum's The Word" here is my entry
I have used a real mash up of products on this card. I started with 3 pieces of chip board and covered them in paper from the Wonderland CD-Rom. I distressed the papers with a distress ink and added faux stitching using the Graph'It Shake WHITE pen, which is a great pen. As you can see the colour is really strong and goes on in one go! I then created some panels using the same CD and technique. The letters are from the Magical Winter 2 CD-rom which proves the CD isn't just for Christmas. I have added the letters onto die cuts. I then printed out embellishments from the Sundae of Seasons CD-Rom and again used distress ink on them. And finally I printed out the heart shaped doilies from the All Around & Everywhere CD rom and distressed them too. I slightly altered the colours of the letters and doilies in a graphic program (MCS) to go with the project. I hope this gives you some inspiration to have a look through your older CD's and dust them off.

UK Doobadoo Challenge 1

Hello everyone, I have some exiting news to share with you today. Have you heard of the company Dutch Doobadoo? Well, they are now in the UK! How exciting is that! You can buy their products via Polkadoodles and Dreamees. Here is the Dutch Doobadoo Facebook page where you can find amazing projects from the Dutch team. And now the best news! They also now have a UK team and I am on it!! Woo hoo. Here is our UK Doobadoo Facebook page and our UK Doobadoo Challenge Blog. I know there's a lot of links there so bookmark them so you know where everything is. I will also add the relevant links when doing my posts so they will always be at hand for you.
So, onto the challenge. The first one is "Hearts Forever and use a stencil" and here is my project. I have made the card blank with the Shape Art 6, and created layers using it as well, in card and in the Denim. I have then used Mask/Stencil Art A5 Diamond, some Gesso and the Pan Pastel to create the textured panels and cut them into the shape of hearts. On the layer behind the denim I have used the Mask/Stencil Art A5 - Metal 1 and run it through the Grand Calibur to emboss it. I cut some leaves from a Spellbinders die and the sentiment is from Stampin Up. I have inked the edges of everything with Tea Die Distress Ink.
I hope you can and join us for the chance to win some fab prizes.

The products I have used to create this are:
Shape Art 6 - Nikkys Fave Flower
Mask/Stencil Art A5 - Diamond
Mask/Stencil Art A5 - Metal 1
Denim Jeans - 2 sheets Dark
Matt Gel/Gesso 200ML
560.3 Phthalo Blue Shade - Pan Pastel
