Polka Doodles Challenge week 38

The challenge over at Polka Doodles this week is Candy Colours.
After looking through the fabby Bonbon Belles Double CD Collection for ages I finally decided on the images to use and came up with this card
I've made a little scene with 4 of the images and added some die cuts. I've slightly coloured the die cuts with some blue distress ink. I used a pre-coloured image this week to show that you don't have to be a colourer to use these CD's as Nikky Hall always gives you pre-coloured digis as well as black and white ones.

Lacy Sunshine Challenge 17

The challenge over at  Lacy Sunshine is "Under the Sea" with Anything Goes as the theme.
Here is my card featuring Pearl Sea Kissed mermaid which you can find here.
I have coloured her with Graph It markers which you can find here. The papers and beach hut are from the Polka Doodles Bonbon Belles CD. I've used some nesties to lay the image on and some mirror card from Kanban. I've also added some liquid pearls around the image.

Scribble and Scrap

There's a new digi shop on the WWW called Scribble and Scrap which you can find here. At the moment there are a few sections which have Vintage digis, Steampunk digis and Topper and card kits. More will be added as the shop takes off. To go with the shop there is also a challenge blog where you can join in the challenges and show off your makes! This can be found here. The challenges will always be "anything goes" to make it easy for everyone to join in.
So here is my entry into the first ever challenge.
For the card I have used the Vintage Beauty 3 (SKU 0023) and Vintage Floral Border (SKU 0026) digis which you can find here. The images are coloured with Graph It markers which I buy from Polka Doodles as they have the best prices and best delivery around. I've kept this card CAS which is quite a challenge for me to do. So why not come and join in with the challenge?

Lacy Sunshine special

Today is Friday the 13th so Heather Valentin wanted to celebrate the day by launching some new digis. And here is a card I made using one of those images.

The image is called Sadie, a Lady Heather's Curiosity and can be found for sale here. The dies I have used are from Tattered Lace and the papers are from the Witchie Witchie 2013 Download Bundle from Polka Doodles. The image is coloured with Graph It markers which you can find here.

Studio 12 altered clip board

Hello everyone, I'm back with another Studio 12 make today.

I'm just loving this new range of stamps which you can find here, and this is my latest make with them.

I've had this clip board for years and it was just shoved in the back of a cupboard, unused and unloved. Now it is on my desk and in use! I painted a base coat of Maimeri White Gesso , then added some distress ink around the edges. I then got to work with the stamps, some I have stamped straight onto the board, others I stamped onto card, cut them out and stuck them on. I have used the Art Girl, Chimney House, Distressed Zig & Zag and the Shabby Owl Blossom  stamp sets. They are all coloured with the same distress ink pad I used to distress the edges of the board. I used some gilding flakes on the flower heads, added some lace, some bakers twine, some florists mesh and a ribbon to finish it off.

Studio 12 wall hanger

Good morning Blog land, I'm here with another post for the Studio 12 side of Polka Doodles.
I'm just loving all of the Studio 12 stamps that you can find here, they are so versatile and can be used for lots of different things. Here is my project.
I've used stamps from the Leave a Little Sparkle , Chimney House , Shabby Owl Blossom  and Vintage Ephemera  sets. I've used a distress ink pad to colour the edges of the panels and also the same ink pad to colour all the images. On the middle panel I have double stamped the bird to give it a look of  movement.

Polka Doodles challenge week 36

The challenge over at Polka Doodles this week is Significant number birthday or occasion
For my project this week I have used papers and images from the Studio 12 CD-rom Picknix Collection 2 Gingerbread Twist. I have covered a plain MDF money box to give to my new Great Nephew for his 1st Christmas (I know it's not his birthday, but it was a significant persons birthday). I have lightly distressed the edges and added faux stitching.

Here are the other sides of the box

His name, when we know it, will be added to this side.

Lacy Sunshine challenge 16

It's time for a new challenge at Lacy Sunshine and the theme this week is to use dies and/or punches.
Here is my card
The image is the lovely Poppy Flower Pot Prettie which can be found for sale here. She is coloured with Graph It markers which I get from Polka Doodles as they have the best price and the quickest delivery I have found. The dies are both from Tattered Lace which can be found here. They are so delicate but easy to cut with my Grand Calibur. The roses are made using a circle punch and cut around and rolled up.
