Hello all, the challenge over at Lacy Sunshine this week is to do a monochromatic project.
Here is my DT card
Meet Rambling Reginold, one of the Gnomes of Gnarly Wood, who can be found here. Please make sure this is the only place you buy images by Heather Valentin. Anyone else selling them is doing so illegally.
I have coloured Reg's skin with GI's and the rest of him with Copics. I am waiting on some more GI's arriving, as I absolutely love them! They have become my favourite colouring medium. I get mine from Polka Doodles as I find them the cheapest around, and the fastest delivery which as a crafter is very important as we always want everything yesterday! And I'm sure if Nikky could deliver yesterday, she would!
The papers are a mag freebies which I've had for a while. I've used a set of Spellbinder dies for the image and message panel. Which I have distressed with a Festive Berry distress ink pad from Tim Holtz. The embossed hanger is die cut from a Tim Holtz Sizzix die and embossed with a Cuttlebug folder. I've used a couple of jump ring to hang the image. And the sentiment is from a Stampin Up stamp set.

Polka Doodles challenge week 16
This weeks challenge is to make a project for a new home.
I chose to make a canvas. I have used images from the Studio 12 CD-rom...Picknix Collection 1. I printed the background paper onto some printable canvas and glued it onto a cheap canvas I bought from one of those cheap shops. I then printed all the other elements onto printable canvas and glued them in place. I cut out the bunting and glued it on using silicone gel to give it a 3D effect.

While I'm here have you seen all the new products over at Polka Doodles. There are some amazing new products in stock like this Fredericka - Colour Me - A5 paper pad which is great for those that don't do CD crafting or those that don't like stamping but still like to colour in. They are also available pre-coloured for you too. And there are new paper pads to match the images.

Lacy Sunshine challenge 6
Good morning everyone. The challenge over at Lacy Sunshine this week is Spring! Let's hope Spring is really on it's way at last!
Here is my card:
Meet Jack and Lily Rose the Garden Gnomes. Aren't they just adorable! You can find them Here. This is the only place you should be buying images by Heather Valentin, anywhere else is selling them illegally.
I've used a mixture of Graph It markers and ProMarkers to colour the image, and I've used chalk to create the background. The papers are some freebies from a mag . And I've added a few die cuts and some ribbon

Another Flower Pot Pretty
Good morning all. It's dark and dingy here today, so much for Spring finally arriving!
Here is a card I made yesterday.
It's using another Flower Pot Pretty which are only available here from the Lacy Sunshine shop. I'm really pleased with this card as I hate green and find doing male cards so difficult, but this one just seemed to put itself together. The skin is coloured with Graph It markers (I'm so loving these, got to get myself some more) and the rest with Copics. The greens I used are G99, G94 & G85.
The papers are from the My Minds Eye Bloom and Grow collection. The ribbon and buttons are from my stash and the tickets are from Stampin Up.

Studio 12 journal
Hello blog land, it's my turn for the Studio 12 project over at today.
I lost one of my fur babies 2 weeks ago and the support I received from everyone was amazing, the girls at Polka Doodles being no exception, and the fabulous Nikky Hall sent me a huge bar of chocolate and the very funny Pets With Tourette's book to cheer me up, so I thought in return I would make her a little something and this is it:
It started life as an A5 blank note book ready for you to add your own mark to, I bought it from Hobbycraft, but you could do it with any cheap note book. Everything I have used on it can be found on the Studio 12 CD-rom...Picknix Collection 1 I added the sentiment over the paper then printed out the paper and embellishments onto some printable canvas. I distressed everything using a Tim Holtz distress ink pad. I glued the background in place leaving a bit overlapping the cover so I could fray it a bit to give it a more distressed look. Then I added all the other bits as a 2nd layer so it was more tactile rather than flat. I inked up the bottom of a tin can and pressed it onto the cover so it looks like a cup of coffee has been placed on it. I added some faux stitching around the letters which spell out Nikky's Bits N Bobs. I put the faux lace in place to hang over the edge of the cover, and the tape measure isn't glued all the way down so it can curl up and look more real. I used the same paper on the back of the book too. I just hope Nikky gets some use out of it. I do myself one every year and find it very useful.
