Where has this last week gone!

I can't believe it's been a week since I blogged, where does time go?
I have been making cards while I haven't been blogging so I haven't been that lazy, lol
Here are some of the cards I have been doing.
This one was done for a friend of mine who needed a Christening card.
I chose to do a bookatrix card as I know people like to keep Christening cards and these do make lovely keepsakes.
And here it is in it's box. My friend was really pleased with it and I hope the recipient was too.
And here are a couple of cards I have done using my new Stampin Up goodies. I've used the Everything Eleanor stamp set for these cards and stamped in Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler ink.

Todays effort is a card

Todays project is a card using some of my Stampin Up goodies, and I have to say I love this card!
The stamps I have used are Greenhouse Garden and Elementary Elegance. I've used Real Red and Garden Green ink pads. I've used a distressing blender around the edges, again with the Real Red ink pad and I think it gives a lovely pinkish tint. I've added some wide satin ribbon with a bow which at one point I was really bad at, but I seem to have picked up the knack of doing bows now! When I finished this card I really liked it so I've done one in purples and also a pressie for someone using a similar theme. I'll show you the purple one tomorrow.

Something a little bit different

Hello bloggers, I hope you've all had a lovely weekend and enjoyed some sunny weather like we have up here.
I've been working on things for Mothers day pressies over the weekend and thought I'd share a few of them with you.
I've done this for my mum, the photo is of my Grandma and Grandad taken on a family holiday in Skegness in the 1950's. The sentiment and hearts are from Stampin Up's Four Frames, I {Heart} Hearts and For My Family, and are stamped in Tempting Turquoise, and the butterflies were cut on my Silhousette Cameo.
This one uses flowers from Stampin Up's Vintage Vogue, stamped in Real Red, a frame from Elementry Elegance and the butterfly from Strength and Hope. The photo is just for illustration purposes and can be changed for you or removed and a sentiment added.
I'll show you some more tomorrow.

Polka Doodles again!

I'm just loving the Candy Doodles cd, I can't seem to put it away! lol So here is another card using it.
I coloured the image with Copics. I've cut the matt and doilies on my Cameo and the swirl is a sizzlits die. Again I have used Tim Holtz's Spun Sugar ink pad around the image, I think this ink pad will get a lot of use! The flowers are from my stash.

Another Polka Doodles card

Todays cards is also from the PD Candy Doodles collectors edtion CD, as you can probably tell I'm loving this CD!
The papers are also from the CD. The image is coloured with Copics and I've used a Tim Hotlz Spun Sugar ink pad around the edge. The frame and matt are cut on my Cameo. The corners and flourish are sizzlits dies, and the flower is made from some ribbon with a button added.
I've added some daisy ribbon behind the mat for something a bit different.

Polka Doodles card

Hi guys, hopefully all is back to normal for me. We had Grandads funeral on Friday, and all went well. Our Daisy read out this really lovely poem that she found on the internet,
"He's Gone"
You can shed tears that he is gone,
Or you can smile because he lived,
You can close your eyes and pray that he will come back,
Or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left.
Your heart can be empty because you can't see him,
Or you can be full of the love that you shared,
You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,
Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.
You can remember him and only that he is gone,
Or you can cherish his memory and let it live on,
You can cry and close your mind; be empty and turn your back,
Or you can do what he would want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
If it wasn't for my beautiful Daisy May and Poppy Lou and my wonderful hubby I don't know how I would've coped, they were truly amazing.
So onto todays card. I have used another image from the new Polka Doodles Candy Doodles Collectors edition CD.
The image is coloured with Copics and the papers are from the Papermania Blueberry Hill collection. The large flower is also from the cd and the small ones are made from cirlces of paper. The sentiment is from Stampin Up. I have used a Tim Holtz Broken China ink pad to distress around the image.
